"Anthem For the Underdog" as written by and Anthony Paul Mccoy Aaron Gainer....
You say you know just who I am
But you can't imagine
What waits for you across the line
You thought you had me
But I'm still here standing
And I'm tired of backing down

And I'm here now feeling the pain
Of a thousand hearts
Been to hell and back again
I won't take this

You try so hard to bring me down
You can't break the broken
You still don't seem to understand
It's your turn to see just
How it feels to be me
How it feels to be knocked down

And you're here now feeling the pain
Of a thousand hearts
You've been to hell and back again
You can't take this

Remember
This feeling

How it feels to be alive
Now you see me through my eyes
And we're here now feeling the beat
Of a thousand hearts
Coming back to life again
We can make it

Remember
This feeling
Remember...

General Commentman is this band underrated...I'm glad in a way because it means they won't become media whores...but in a way I wish more people could hear them...12 Stones are amazing...glad to see they haven't disappointed with this album.

General CommentWhat a fantastic song..and a great band. The meaning of the song is pretty obvious. It's about wanting someone to be empathetic to your situation..whatever it may be. Wanting someone to understand the way you are and what you're going through.

General CommentI think this song is about christ and his resurection after he is crucified. you thought you had me
but I'm still here standing. i think parts also deal with his time on the cross and what people thought after he came back. And you're here now feeling the pain of a thousand hearts you've been to hell and back again you can't take this. And toward the end its the feeling he'll hopefully have after the apocalypse. And we're here now feeling the beat of a thousand hearts coming back to life again we can make it.

General CommentIt seems like he was getting bullied by someone and whats to show them the pain that they caused. rememeber this feeling is for when he got beat on by the bully and turned it around.

My OpinionThis song can be seen so many ways =] From a religious point, a bullying point or a general view of life ;) I personally see it as the last one =] We all face battles in our lives that knock us down, over and over. But in the end we get back up and keep fighting. Those who think they've never experienced it are wrong, it may have been a small battle, but it was still a battle nonetheless. We've been looked down upon at some point in our lives, and as people are slowly brought to see things as we do, they realise how tough things can be, and how we're all fairly equal. We all deserve to be treated like a human, and seen as an equal =)

The chorus is my favorite part of the song =D It's soo strong and inspiring!! I wish people would listen to 12 Stones more as well =( They deserve it! They're songs are amazing!!

General CommentIt's the feeling of failure.

I am a wrestler and I wrestled well up to the freestyle season, where I lost many times. The feeling was horrible and I justhated everything, I remembered how I felt during practice and always worked hard, and now I am way better.
