You're all the fucking same.
Worthless and waiting for a savior,
That was there all along.
You're all the same poison,
With perfect lives and cruel intentions.
A trail of blood..

(You've fucking built the skin.)

Give the paper something to talk about.
Give the readers something to talk about.
Saylor Lake's got a mean howl.
Careful at night, better watch out!

Decorate her funeral with open wounds,
When the sorrow pours like water
Down a cold and restless body.
Slowly flows a river,
In the river we will gaze.

You're all the fucking same.
Worthless and waiting for a savior,
That was there all along.
You're all the same poison,
With perfect lives and cruel intentions.
A trail of blood..

Up the stairs, down the hall,
Into the bedroom she crawled,
To place a panicked phone call,
But she was struck in the head with a blunt object.

Decorate her funeral with open wounds,
When the sorrow pours like water
Down a cold and restless body.
Decorate her funeral with open wounds,
When the sorrow pours like water
Down a cold and restless body.

I never thought that I would grow tired. Well, I did. There once was a time where I lost my mind and I thought that I wanted this, but now I'm terribly mistaken for a fake. One day these cameras will steal my entire soul. When everything is gone, it's quiet and we want nothing more.

the murder thinks he's the savior?
this goes with the last line in I want to master life and death
like he thinks he's an angel and that hes doing them a favor by killing them?

General CommentThat sounds like a really good idea.. I think he sees the people he kills as the devil. For instance, in Drawing the Devil, someone said that maybe he thinks he's the pastor and the girl was the Devil, so he tied her hands together.. which would make sense.

General Commenti thought the knotted part in drawing the devil just referred to being married?

General CommentI think now he's coming to realize this is not what he wanted. But he's still trying to pull it all off.

General CommentI can't gather many clues from the main part of this song. Most of them come from the last paragraph.

    "You're all the fucking same.
Worthless and waiting for a savior,
    That was there all along."

My take on this one is, all the people in the town are looking for some miracle to stop the murders, and none of them have faith in the police dept. If the murderer is really a cop like I think, this would offend him. He's saying that he (as the cop) could've been the savior all along, but of course he isn't going to try to catch himself (as the murderer).

As for the endnig, the camera part confuses me. I'm not sure what cameras he's talking about. But,

"I thought that I wanted this, but now I'm terribly mistaken for a fake."

probably means that whatever point he was trying to make by killing all these people was lost on the town. No one understood his motives, and now he doesn't see the point in going on.

General Commentnow I'm terribly mistaken for a fake could mean that he did it yet people mistake someone else as the killer, who is a fake since they didnt od it.

General CommentHm, I think I'm off track here, but I think the camera bit is like... the media. Ealier in the song, it says
"Give the paper something to talk about.
Give the readers something to talk about."
Maybe he started all this(the killings) just to stir up the town? Maybe things in Saylor Lake were dull, so he thought he'd give them something to talk about.
At first, he was enjoying it. Then he started to grow tired of it ("I never thought that I would grow tired. Well, I did.") Maybe he was sick of the reaction he got from the people of Saylor Lake, I'm not sure. Maybe it just became an obsession, and he lost sight of why he started to kill ("but now I'm terribly mistaken for a fake")

That's just what I think. I think I'm completely wrong, but I thought I'd give it a stab. XD

General Commentmaybe every girl the serial killer is killing are girls that fucked him over? like he probably kept all his anger bottled up inside and just exploded? i dont know, but like in 45233, he says "you did this to yourself; its all your fault" he seems to have some relation to the girl hes killing.

General CommentI agree with DropDeadxx on the camera part somewhat; or it could totally be learning towards the superstition that cameras can steal your soul? Either way, this album has become my obsession; the story they're telling with this is phenomenal!

Mabey he was a religous person/see's them all as the same just copies and putting faith in something that doesn't even make sense. He could possibly of tried to be a good man and got hurt by a woman and now hates all the woman.. possibly alot of cheating going on in the town and he knew of it, yet nobody else seemed to see how these woman really were and he just thinks, well I was there all along and I knew it all but none of you would have believed me so I'll kill to get this point accross so you'll finally see.

    "You're all the same poison,
With perfect lives and cruel intentions.
    A trail of blood.."
All of these people in the town lived the same exterior lives, mabey the woman he first was with was having an affair on her partner with the murderer. They all have "perfect lives" but all these perfect lives have cruel intentions behind the scenes. In essence they are the poison that corrupts everybodies lives and destroys everybodies lives. I'm not sure about the trail of blood, but the murderer left a trail of blood in the tenth murder, apparently his own, which was also left on the letter opener. Mabey the letter opener was from a man [either the tenth vitoms boyfriend/the one she cheated on her bf with? not sure]

    "(You've fucking built the skin.)"
They built the skin of this monsterous thing/act by being the way they are [cheating i'm still thinking] and it's disgusting inside.

"Give the paper something to talk about.
Give the readers something to talk about.
Saylor Lake's got a mean howl.
Careful at night, better watch out!"
Give this superficial town all the drama that they want/feed their needs. Saylor lake's nothing but dirt/filled with horrible people with bad intentions at night and during the day it seems so cute and quaint but when the suns down they all turn back into the sick monster's they are. He's just bringing the kill to the scene.

"Decorate her funeral with open wounds,
When the sorrow pours like water
Down a cold and restless body."
This was written in blood on the outside of the tenth vitim's house. Possibly he'll be at the funeral, decorate it with open wounds because they won't heal. She'll be forever restless and cold hearted the way he thinks she was before. So she dies cold hearted, this sorrow flows everywhere through and around everyone in the town infecting everything, it won't go away but forever taints.

    "Slowly flows a river,
In the river we will gaze."
Slow and terrible river of death/sorrow that they look into and see the reflections. Bassically they created this river and it's slowly killing them all, yet they just let it go on?

    "You're all the fucking same.
Worthless and waiting for a savior,
    That was there all along.
    You're all the same poison,
With perfect lives and cruel intentions.
    A trail of blood..
Up the stairs, down the hall,
    Into the bedroom she crawled,
To place a panicked phone call,
But she was struck in the head with a blunt object."
Well glass from a picture frame that was smashed at the bottom of her staircase was jammed into her side, I think at first mabey she tried to defend herself with the letter open and cut him, in turn her used that smashed picture frame or, she was pushed down and landed on that and it cut her side/was jammed into her. The trail of blood, of both her's and his leads from the door to the staircase and up the stairs to where the body was found and the bottom of her bed. So she's crawled up the stairs and into the bedroom and he's chasing her or letting her go and enjoying it knowing he's going to kill her anyways. She went directly to the phone to call the police, but he took the phone and smashed her in the back of the head and then strangled her with the cord.

"Decorate her funeral with open wounds,
When the sorrow pours like water
Down a cold and restless body.
Decorate her funeral with open wounds,
When the sorrow pours like water
Down a cold and restless body."
    Same as.

"I never thought that I would grow tired. Well, I did. There once was a time where I lost my mind and I thought that I wanted this, but now I'm terribly mistaken for a fake. One day these cameras will steal my entire soul. When everything is gone, it's quiet and we want nothing more."
I think that mabey [and I'm not saying a hundred percent] but he might have been the pastor and heard all the confessions so knew everything that was going on behind the scenes. Also his wife/girlfriend/affair lover whatever she was. Either he found out she was cheating/she was all along and it drove him crazy after a while because he grew to love her and all of this cheating just drove him nuts. He never thought he would grow tired, of either the killing or the cheating, but he has. He may very well be skitz, mabey not but something is wrong with him and he doesn't know who he is at all. He could possibly of been begging for help in the most way he could before but nobody realised, he's generally a fake in every way so very superfical just like everybody else. Um.. the camera's, Idk, but when everything is gone, it's quiet [there's nothing more for this town to talk about], there's nothing left for them to want/no evil for them to spread.

butt idk it's just what i think.
