"Nickels Is Money Too" as written by and Daniel Williams Christopher Rubey....
Climbing into fire, her hands are forceful
We're burying earth in earth
White hands, soft hands, carefully

This makes no sense
What's that sound I hear?
I'm lost in a state of confusion

Oh ground
I despise you, but rejoice in your essence
Envy will cease my sky
Greed will cease my sky

"Here's a farmer that hung himself on the expectation of plenty"
At this time I feel there is no bottom to earth
Welcome to the museum of the dead; endless gore becomes reality

Tradition's dug the grave
The inferno has commenced

General Commenti think its about how everyone is messing everything up in the world, its US thats destroying ourselves, not GOD. were burying earth in earth.

the white hands, soft hands, its showing how it makes no sense that WE are gods greatest creation and our life is a gift, our world is a gift, and what have we done in return, there's killing, sin, vanity, gluttony, aldutery, theres evil everywhere and theres people constantly straying away from the one who loves us the most.

all this sin will cease our sky, itll bring our end, and no one is doing anything about it

the farmer is from macbeth from the PORTER scene, who is a drunk guard who believes hes guarding th gates of hell, the farmer who hung himself on the EXPECTATION of plenty is tragic , but he was in control of what he did and suffered for it, sometimes we expect so much from GOD when we are down here to make OUR OWN choices and we cant blame GOD for our greivances.

    The inferno has commenced

JUDGMENT is now, we are being watched NOW
if you died today, how will you be judged, everyone is afraid of the apocalypse but its already happenning , keep your faith and do good, the judgment has started now, not later

i love how mike is like a spectator in his lyrics, he writes like he is seeing everything happening around him and hes telling you what you should do to keep close with god.

i need feedback, this is what i think, i hope im not just crazy haha

Her in this song is talking about Sin.
Climbing into Fire (Climbing into temptation falling into temptation)
Her hands are forceful(Sin is like pulling you towards herself so you could fall [sin])
Were Burying earth in earth(With the Sinful, corrupted things of this earth' We are burying the pure and blessings of this earth)
White hands soft hands carefully( When God made this earth, with those white hands, soft hands... and carefully)
    - Upto this point their saying how can this world be soo sinful when God the one who is holy made it with love and now its thie sinful corrupted place.
This makes no sense(Obviously this makes no sense.. he's making a statement)
Hes saying this doesnt make sense because if God again the only one whom is holy made this place holyness should be here as well but instead humans, have turned this place into a world of lies.

General CommentWhats that sound I hear? Im lost in a state of confusion( So now its this other person listening to this guy say what he jjust said so he's saying whats that sound i hear[Truth, God's voice]- and then im lost in a state of confusion, [Hes confused because this whole time he's been lied about] about no God about life just being "life") Make sense? okay...
Oh ground, I despise you but rejoice in your essence( this guy is now looking down at the ground, at the earth and saying to it!, I despise you because everything in this world sets us apart, and drags us apart from God. But then he says "but rejoice in your essence". saying that altho its what drags us away from God, our bodily desires rejoice in the essence of this world. Because our body all it wants is Sin, and this world is Sin) Still with me?.. making sense?
Envy will cease my sky, Greed will cease my sky ( Both these things are Sin, and sin will cease our sky, it can take our salvation away from us.)
"Heres a farmer who hung himself at the expection of many"( Hes now saying how many people out there are killing, killing them selfs just because of their greed just because of their envy) Symbolism of course.
At this time i feel theres no bottom to earth- Again its talking about how theres no stop to earth, theres no end to it. There isnt a stop at sin. There isnt a point where we could say okay. ive had enough of this or enough of that. no. we just keep at it.
Welcome to the museum of the dead" Saying pretty much welcome to earth, welcome to this world.
The bible talks about a man without a spirit is dead, to life to have life, God must give you life he must awake the spirit in you.. and in this world there isnt as many people that have repented and turned and walked with Christ compared to how many people still choose their bodily desires..
Endless gore becomes reality- As a christian I see this world full of Gore, not just violence but the prostitution, the drugs, the raping..
The Inferno has commenced- Hells about to start.
Thank you very much this is what this song means.. if any of u guys like the way i look at songs, let me know any song you want me to try to uncover, and ill let you know not just christian songs but anything really... thanks

General CommentSuddenly realizing that death, the thing that some bands take advantage of for lyrical terms, is very real.

General CommentIt may be just me, but when I read these lyrics I think of The Inferno(Dante Alighieri). The Inferno starts with Dante descending("Climbing into fire") and is guided by Virgil("white hands, soft hands:carefully") throughout hell. Dante passes through the wood of suicides("Here's a farmer that hung himself on the expectation of plenty"). He also passes through other parts and views "endless gore" in one part later on.

that's my philosophy of the lyrics.

General CommentTo live is Christ and to die is gain. I also think that this song enties with "And The Sentence Trails Off". That followers of Christ do not fear death. I know I am waiting for my rebirth. But people that don't know Christ should infact fear death.
