Now my eyes are wide open
Now that everything’s been stolen
And I’m here to get it back from you
See I ain’t wasting no more time
Got to get back what’s mine
What else am I supposed to do?

Here I am
With my heart on the floor
And my love out the door
You should be knocking
But there it goes
I’ve got nothing to show for
Except pictures I posed for
But I keep ‘em in a box under my bed

I told you time and again
You never win
I told you time and again
But you keep doing the same old thing
When I thought that you would change
I told you time and again

Here I am
With my heart on the floor
And my love out the door
You should be knocking
There it goes
I’ve got nothing to show for
Except pictures I posed for
But I keep ‘em in a box under my bed

Oh, oh, oh, oh….

Here I am
With my heart on the floor
And my love out the door

There it goes
I’ve got nothing to show for
Except pictures I posed for

Here I am
With my heart on the floor
And my love out the door
You should be knocking
There it goes
I’ve got nothing to show for
Except pictures I posed for
But I keep ‘em in a box under my bed

Oh, oh, oh, oh….

General Commentthis reminds me of my last relationship that just ended a couple of days ago.
I tried so hard to make him happy and I tried so hard to make him listen, but he just get going along like I didn't matter all that much, I know he cared, and loved me, he just didn't feel the same.

I think this song is kind of like that. She tried hard to make things work and he didn't put much effort into it. So eventually all the love ends and she has nothing to be happy about.

    General CommentLove this song.

I think it's about putting yourself all out there, wearing your heart on your sleeve, waiting for that person to take it, but he never does. So you just box up all of your feelings and hide them.

Definitely had a relationship like that before.

General CommentIts about putting yourself out there, loving with all that you have.
Waiting for the right person to come along and love you for everything you do for them and for who you are. But no one does instead they just use you or are never find a appreciation for you
And you always think that it will be different next time but it never it is.
So you just try to deny that anything ever happened and push it to the back of your mind.

Meikos songs are all pretty good. There realistic, everyone especially girls can relate to them in someway or another.

I know that ive definately have been in this position a couple times.

General CommentSo, as much as I love this song, I get a knot in my stomach every single time I hear it. It was playing when I was in a car accident, and it always reminds me of that moment.

General CommentI think this song is probably about a breakup, but it could also be about unrequited love (especially if the person flirts but doesn't mean it).

She is sad and speaks of wasted time and love spent on someone who threw it away.

She seems determined to not be bitter and morn it forever, but to keep the memories of love hidden away and remember the good times.
