Hold me down, your ties have come unbound
You can't make me drown
Seems I've found I'm feeling healthy now
my family tree has been cut down

Whoa, all our happy days are done
Break down your fallacies of love
Puppet strings make enemies of a father and his son
What in the world will I become

Throw me out, and I'll learn what life is all about
Thanks for the lesson, I feel so much better now
All your doubts help to keep me turning
It's like you want me to hate you now
I've figured out that you're not concerned
Well, life is a bitch but it won't bring me down

Whoa all our happy days are done
Break down your fallacies of love
Puppet strings make enemies of a father and his son
What in the world will I become

(oh...Will I become....oh......)

Whoa all our happy days are done
Break down your fallacies of love
Puppet strings make enemies of a father and his son
What in the world, what in the world
What in the world will I become, will I become

General Commenti think it means .. who ever wrote the song is worried about who they will be when they are older. there parents or other elders give them advice that might bring down his true dreams bc every one else only thinks they will turn out as there parents did.

General CommentIt's about a crappy relationship between father & son.
"Puppet strings make enemies of a father and his son." It's about JB's (lead singer) relationship with his dad.
