"Avalanche" as written by and Jordan Robert/miller Whelan....
Wishing someone would break my legs
A burden too heavy to bare
I've tasted the lips of the Ancients
And witnessed the fall of hope.
Hope.

Like saviors to the planet
We have risen
Taking out anyone in our path
Infiltrate the heart of the enemy
As they suck the stream of life
From the decapitation of Jenova
To the drowning of Aeris
Don't come even a little bit closer
Or I'll show you what this ultimate weapon
Is capable of.

Infecting, Infecting our soldiers
Petty experiments solely to find
The strongest breed of chaos
To further corrupt our world.
Failed.

From the decapitation of Jenova
To the drowning of Aeris
Don't come even a little bit closer
Or I'll show you what this ultimate weapon
Is capable of.

Wishing someone would break my legs
A burden too heavy to bare
I've tasted the lips of the Ancients
And witnessed the fall of hope.
Hope.

General CommentIt's a pretty.. bald thing to do, to write a metal song about a game.. I'm just thinking, there might be another meaning to this lyric than just the game?

General CommentNot really, it's pretty much completely about FF7. The first 2 lines don't really make sense as far as the story goes, but yeah, it's about FF7.

    Great song btw

General CommentIt's just about Final Fantasy Seven.
    Don't look into it.
I went to their show last night and they introduced this song as a song about their favorite game, FF7.

    Great band

General CommentHoly shit! How comes I didn't notice that the name of the song is the same name of the organization? I guess I'm an idiot :D. FF7 is one of the best games of the franchise IMHO.

General CommentTheJesus, actually the first two lines could make sense if we assume that they refer to the Greek myth Atlas, though it might be a slight stretch. Atlas, in said myth, is said to support the entire weight of the world via a pillar on his back--that is, a burden too heavy to bear. (Breaking his legs, would, ironically, free him from his burden, granting him a rest.) If we take this literal "carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders" and apply it metaphorically to the cast of FFVII, it fits nicely.
