I got my propaganda
I got revisionism
I got my violence
In hi-def ultra-realism

Wanted to cap somebody
Wanted to buck them down
Wanted to pull the trigger
Just to hear the fucking sound
I got my propaganda
I get my cable free
I hang it from my neck
And go to work from tree to tree
It's got to be the poison
They're putting in my food
It takes me by the brain
And marks me to my every move
I try to change the channel
The channel is changing me
I take the cup and fill it up
Before I pee

I got my propaganda
I got revisionism
I got my violence
In hi-def ultra-realism

I'm spread out on the toilet
I'm sprawled across the floor
I feel my head expanding
Beyond the room
Beyond the door
I'm in the oval office
In an electric chair
I sign my name
Beneath the claim
That I don't really care
I got survivalism
You got my claim to fame
I got the right to say
I'm fighting in Jesus's name
I see the .45's
But I wont act surprised
Found myself along the way
Believeing your lies

I got my propaganda
I got revisionism
I got my violence
In hi-def ultra-realism
All a part of this great nation
I got my fist
I got my plan
I got survivalism

I submitted this and I know all the words aren't exact. If you could help, that'd be awesome. I also bought it on vinyl and don't think it's the greatest but it's the only NIN song I knew about not submitted. Plus the lyrics just aren't very good-kinda immature.

I bought this on vinyl, and i really dont like this remix. I hate how he tries to sing in here and it sucks. Its like this person tried to make it a rap remix... Uuugh. I dont know, not as pleasing as Survivalism.

Yeah, I really think this 'remix' just sucks. The recording sounds very amature, the lyrics are lame.. and I agree with UberTallDude, when he trys to sing a long -oh damn.. that's bad. This version should not have been added to this site.

I can't stand this song. It isn't Trent. I agree with Pikachu - if we can get this song out of here, go for it!

I haven't heard this version, so I can't say anything about how it sounds, but this sounds more like Saul Williams than Reznor. He has a similar message to get across in some of his other songs, which, by the way, are awesome.

I can fix the lyrics, really wasn't to far off. I just don't know how to edit it.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
