"22 Steps" as written by and Andy John Stochansky Ian Lefeuvre....
If I were him
I'd know your birthday
Just what to get
The colors you wear

We'd buy old bikes
We'd ride on Sundays
You'd review the books I sent

And I know
It takes twenty two steps
From the walk to your door
It takes twenty two steps

Because I've tried it before
And one day I'll knock
But just not yet

If I were him
I'd buy the raincoat
The orange one
That he forbade

We'd wait for rain
We'd walk by his house
In the front
Not by the lane

And I know
It takes twenty two steps
From the walk to your door
It takes twenty two steps

Because I've tried it before
And one day I'll knock
But just not yet

And I'm not so sure
That you would not say
Get out, don't step in
I'll never try again
I'll never try again

It takes twenty two steps
From the walk to your door
It takes twenty two steps

Because I've tried it before
And one day I'll knock
But just not yet

If I were him
I'd know your birthday wish

General CommentAwh this song is so cute :D I kinda can't believe no one else has commented on it
This is just my interpretation, but I reckon this song's about him being perfect for a girl but the girl already has a boyfriend. And he's saying that he really loves her and would treat her right.. But that's just wat i got from it :P

General CommentDoes this sound a little... stalkerish to anyone else too? :\ I know I'd be concerned if anyone who was interested in me knew the number of steps to my front door, even if it's squished into a cute metaphor.
