Dirty little secret
Dirty little lies
Say your prayers
And comb your hair
Save your soul tonight...

Drift among the faithful
Bury your desires
Aborations fill your head
You need a place to hide
and I am-

Do you remember me?
The kid i used to be
Do you remember me?

When your world comes crashing down - I want to relive
(Good God hes looking down on me)
I'm not jesus - jesus wasn't there
You confess it all away but its only shit to me
(Good God hes looking down on me)
I'm not jesus i will not forgive

No i WON'T
No i won't

I thought you were a good man
I thought you talked to god
You hippocratic, messianic, child abusing, turn satanic

Do you remember me?
Do you remember me?
The kid i used to be
Do you remember?

DO YOU REMEMBER?

When your whole world comes undone
Let me be the one to say
I'm not jesus you can't run away
And the innocence you spoiled
Found a way to live
(Good God hes looking down on me)
I'm not jesus i will not forgive

(I will not forgive
I want whatever you wanted
I will not forgive
I won't be whatever you wanted)

Do you remember me
The kid i used to be
Not the same as i used to be
OH DO YOU REMEMBER ME?

NOOOOOOOOOOOO

When your world comes crashing down I want to be there
(Good God hes looking down on me)
I'm not jesus - jesus wasn't there
You confess it all away but its only shit to me
(Good God hes looking down on me)

I'm not jesus i will not..
I'm not jesus i will not forgive
ooh i will not forgive -yeah yeah
No i will not forgive...

this song is supposed to be in the Apocalyptica section

but its simply a song about preists putting digits in little boys...more specifically its from the viewpoint of one of the boys whos grown up and its seeking some sort of revenge or wants to see the preist punished in some way

It's definately by apocalyptica [featuring corey taylor]

Sounds like sexual abuse or something?

Okay, slipknotgurl, this song is not about Corey Taylor. Corey Taylor didn't even write it. This song was written by Apocalyptica(sp?) and it's their song, not Stone Sours. This song is about a priest sexually abusing a boy, and the simply saying he's not going to forgive the priest, because the boy is not Jesus, so he doesn't have to.

its about someong who has done something to him and is sorry but he will not forgive them for it. ex. when he says "i'm not jesus, i will not forgive."

This doesn't belong to Stone Sour. This is from Apocalyptica's "Worlds Collide" album.

Corey Taylor's voice is there, but not his band.

So in a video therapy session with corey taylor, he talks about being sexually abused by a friend. Even if it's not his writing, it just makes sense.

im not entierly sure but i think this song is about Corey saying he doesnt forgive and forget about all the things people have done in the past, things are soo bad that he just cant forgive and so he's saying he's not jesus he will not forgive

im not entirly sure if that means that. Please correct me if im wrong!!

wouldnt it be great if that was the case, that would mean ive actually gottn somthing right :) har har

like slipknotgurl said, it's about corey not wanting to forgive someone for somehting they did to him, but to me it sounds like he's saying: "Your God aint looking down on me", instead of; "Good God he's looking down on me".

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
