Don't stop, don't stop
Don't stop, don't stop,
Don't stop till you drop the bottom of the pops (x3)

Don't stop, don't stop
Why you wanna be on top?
Christian rock do-wop for hip-hop
We all lose face and it's all we got
Let me take you down on a merry-go-round
Future world that's world renowned
Fifteen minutes of shame, how that sound?
I see a thunder cloud
Raining on your underground
Raining on your underground
Raining on your underground

When I fall I hope to land
On a Persian rug or a music stand
Or a trampoline or a bean bag chair
Bottom of the pops I'm halfway there

(Chilly W.G.
Worst M.C. from the W.C.
Double the pain and double the glee
Smells like wordplay: WP.)

Don't stop, don't stop
Don't stop, don't stop,
Don't stop till you drop the bottom of the pops (x3)

Don't stop, don't stop
What about the song and dance?
Listen man, you had your chance
Now you just sit around around in your pyjama pants
(Don't stop, don't stop)
Everybody heard the news
How you hung up your dancing shoes
And how you got confused
I hate to say it, you snooze you lose.

You should be an illusionist
So you can know what the illusion is
Ha, you deserve a row at the tippity top of the totem pole
Climb that mountain
You got a long way to go but who's countin'?
You just got conned by a pro
At the bottom of the pops so on with the show

Don't stop, don't stop
Don't stop, don't stop,
Don't stop till you drop the bottom of the pops (x3)

Don't stop, don't stop
Hey yeah....

When I fall I hope to land
on a Persian rug or a music stand
or a trampoline or a bean bag chair
Bottom of the pops I'm halfway there.

Don't stop, don't stop
Don't stop, don't stop,
Don't stop till you drop the bottom of the pops

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
