I remember when all the games began
Remember every little lie
And every last goodbye
Promises you broke, words you choked on
And I never walked away it's still a mystery to me

Well I'm so empty
I'm better off without you and you're better off without me
Well you're so unclean
I'm better off without you and you're better off without me

The lying
The bleeding
The screaming, was tearing me apart
The hatred
Deceiving
The bleeding
It's over

Paint the mirrors black (to forget you)
I still picture your face and the way you used to taste
Roses in a glass dead and wilted
To you this all was nothing
Everything to you is nothing

Well you're so filthy
I'm better off without you and you're better off without me
Well I'm so ugly
You're better off without me and I'm better off without

The lying
The bleeding
The screaming, was tearing me apart
The hatred
The beatings
Disaster
It's over

As wicked as you are, you're beautiful to me
You're the darkest burning star, your my perfect disease

The lying
The bleeding
The screaming, was tearing me apart
The hatred
The beatings
It's over
Disaster

The lying
The bleeding
The screaming, was tearing me apart
The hatred
The beatings
It's over
Disaster
It's over now

Guaade, now I realize you are probably a Forty year-old balding, one toothed, chronic masturbator that lives in your mothers basement, and thinks that NSYNC is still the shit and all. But please, there is no reason to throw a hissy fit when a band comes out with a song that may or may not lyrically have the same premise as others, after all. They are a metal band, so no they wont write lots of songs about Unicorns and candy mountain, but they will about relationships that get fucked up and crush them. that is the reason for rock, to vent the frustration and aggression of pain and or anguish over an idea, situation, or belief. The song is completely original in style, just for the fact of the complete change of tempo. And the band is amazing because they have the ability and balls, to show that metal is also an art form just like any other type of music. Now, if your opinion differs in any way from mine, which I am sure it does. Make a cd, send me the lyrics, I will then find a copy of it, and listen. And if you do anywhere near as well, I will apologize. If not... SUCK MY BALLS

    Song Meaning

this is not what is means to me but this is the real meaning of this song, and story line of this song.

he had a girl friend that had been abused and neglected. then him and her got together cause he loved her and she loved him. then once while he was on tour she felt like no one cared for her. she was all alone no one there she could take to about her problems. she was tired of him going on tour and more... then one day there was no one there by her side. to stop her she over dosed on any pills she could find.

that is the real meaning of this song just listen to the words once not the music. picture this story in your head while you listen you will see.

gotta say that this song is fucking amazing and intense as hell live. obviously this is about being in love and having that bitch hurt you (yes yes personal experience) but that no matter what and through everything that goes on there will always be a place where the two will be together or have a connection. "You're my perfect disease" is the best line, very plainly saying that no matter the bullshit that we've been through there is something about you and me that works and i can't get away.

Easily understood if you ever fell in love with someone with extreme "issues".

fucking great song, obviously about losing someone you love very dearly due to lies and the backlash(pain) of it all, coinciding with the reflection the songwriter has on said relationship.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
