"It's Complicated Being A Wizard" as written by and John Baldwin Gourley....
Giants always find you
Where sheep share friendly information
While slowly south bound sifting through patient air their legs are bending
Back to find the roots where
We offered only explanations
Because we will only take what hands and backs and legs can carry
Out of here

Someday we'll find a home, someday we'll find a lonely lonely home
Where we'll pass time where we'll bring change, where we'll be change
(i found the way out, but if I told you you'd be down)
Lips likely loose and pouring out film lines

A roaring flow abounds a warmth and joy that holds you
Open and apart in steps that never move

So children come in find a seat we made your room/you're sure to use
Ohhhhhhhh
You missed the sparrow's mark
A breath of rockets shone like torches.
Boss we got a problem the people will not listen
Their ears are full of cranks, bells, pulley's, wheels, and bolts
Automated fiction with film on the eyes and the doctors claim
They'll never form, you'll never see again
Lengths of snakes match each silent syllable
Hello. You missed the sparrow's mark...A breath of rockets shone like torches.
(I found the way out)
So children come in find a seat we made your room/you're sure to use
Ohhhhhhhh
A roaring flow abounds a warmth and joy that holds you
Open and apart in steps that never move

Back to the world, the acrobats spinning around
With his head in the bay, stepping in close to that door
Shivers in pain, his mind slipping back in to
Behind his view a place he made through that door
Back filling gold and colors that poured from his
Mouth dripping shame found as the flowed through that door
Comforts in time that pull and push against the moon climbing games
That reach us to get through that door
Now back to the world, the acrobats spinning around
Their heads in the bay all the way back to that door
It's in the door

Where its always, always for the lord/law
Just what percent is left? Money or mind?
You see I found out where the money is it's all in lies

I found the way out. But. If I told you you'd be down.
And I hate to get you down when you're up so high so high.
Children come in, find a seat you're sure to do.
Lengths of snakes, they match each silent syllable
Hello. You missed the sparrow's mark
A breath of rockets shone like torches.
So children come in find a seat we made your room/you're sure to use
Ohhhhhhhh
A roaring flow abounds a warmth and joy that holds you
Open and apart in steps that never move

Lyric CorrectionHere's the complete lyrics, according to the insert that came with my vinyl copy. [Note: The written lyrics usually differ slightly from the performed lyrics when it comes to P.TM (a few words removed for rhythm's sake, etc.), so this won't be exactly what the song says, but it's all here. The lyrics are presented with the format and punctuation (or lack thereof) given on the actual album.]

General Comment* with thanks to everyone who has offered a translation of each piece thus far. I now present "It's complicated being a wizard" in complete."

    Try and always find you
    Where sheep's shed friendly information
Slowly spout back, sifting through patient air
Their legs are bending back to find
The roots where, offer only explanations
We will only take what hands and backs and legs
    Can carry out of here

Someday we'll find a home (I found the way out)
Someday we'll find a lonely, lonely home
(But if I told you, you'd be down)

    Where they bring the change
    Where they bring the change
Lips likely holes; pouring out feelings
Lips likely holes; pouring out feelings

Overflow the bows; remote control that holds you
Open it and part the steps that never move
Overflow the bows; remote control that holds you
Open it and part the steps that never move

    Some children came
And found our secret lair; your move
    Some children came
And found our secret lair; your move

Lengths of snakes match each silent syllable
    With eyes like these, hello?
    You missed the sparrows mark
A breath of rockets shone like torches
A breath of rockets shone like torches

Hustle got a bog, and the people never listen
The leaves are full of cracks; pass partly season boats
Automated fiction, a film on the eyes
Doctor's stand: they'll never form and never seen again

    Some children came
And found our secret lair; your move
    Some children came
And found our secret lair; your move

Lengths of snakes match each silent syllable
    With eyes like these, hello?
    You missed the Sparrows mark
A breath of rockets shone like torches
A breath of rockets shone like torches

    Hello? Hello?
    (I found a way out)
    (I found a way out)

Lengths of snakes match each silent syllable
With eyes like these, hello? Hello?
A breath of rockets shone like torches
A breath of rockets shone like torches

    Some children came
And found our lair; your move

    Hello? Hello?
    (I found a way out)
    (I found a way out)

Lengths of snakes match each silent syllable
With eyes like these, hello? Hello?
A breath of rockets shone like torches
A breath of rockets shone like torches

    Some children came
And found our lair; your move

Overflow the bows; remote control that holds you
Open it and part the steps that never move
Overflow the bows; remote control that holds you
Open it and part the steps that never move

Overflow the bows; remote control that holds you
Open it and part the steps that never move
Overflow the bows; remote control that holds you
Open it and part the steps that never move

Back to the well; the acrobats spinning round
The head's in the bay; stepping in close
To that door; into the shore
Feelings and pains; plans slip them back
Into behind the view; the place seen
Up through that door; it's in the door
Back through they go; they're going past
The port on his mouth dripping shame
They find eyes that flow through that door; it's in the door
Ripples and tides bowing for seconds
    The moon crowning games
The leeches to get through that door; it's in the door

Back to the well; the acrobats spinning round
His head's in the bay; always back
To that door, to that door
It's in the door; it's in the door, it's in the door
Back to the bay, the acrobat spinning around
His heads in the den, it's in the door
It's in the door; it's in the door, it's in the door
Back to the bay, the acrobat spinning around
His heads in the den, it's in the door
It's in the door; it's in the door, it's in the door

    Always, always, always
Always all alone; and they said
    Always, always, always
Always all alone; and they said
    Always, always, always
Always all alone; and they said
    Always, always, always
Always all alone; and they said

It's not the system, it's not the system
It's not the system, it's not the system
So tell me what, so tell me what
It's not the system, it's not the system
It's not the system, it's not the system
So tell me what, so tell me what
It's not the system, it's not the system
It's not the system, it's not the system
So tell me what, so tell me what

    I found the way out
But if I told you, you'd be down
And I hate to get you down
    when you're up so high
And I hate to get you down
    when you're up so high

And I hate to get you down
I hate to get you down
    When you're up so high
    When you're up so high
So high, so high, so high

    Track 'em in
Fine recedes you're sure to do

    Some children come
And found our secret lair; your move
    Some children come
And found our secret lair; your move

    Some children come
And found our secret lair; your move
    Some children come
And found our secret lair; your move

    Some children come
And found our secret lair; your move
    Some children come
And found our secret lair; your move

Lengths of snakes damage each silent syllable
    With eyes like this, hello?
    You missed the sparrows mark
A breath of rockets shone like torches
A breath of rockets shone like torches

General CommentLove this song/EP. I love how so many of these songs ended up becoming parts of songs on Waiter: "You Vultures!" Like How the Leopard Got Its Spots and Tommy. Great stuff. If someone writes the biography of this band they should call it "Wizards and Waiters." :P
