"The Love" as written by Alice Peacock and John Baxter....
When you finally fade from those nights you spend
Doing God only knows with your new friends
When you decide to come back
You always can

Our lives are separate roads
We pick our separate ways
But the love I found reminds me everyday
That I still believe in you
I still have faith

I have faith that you'll find your way
And realize your mistakes
Cause I can't handle another night alone

And so I'm trying to find words
To convince you to stay
I'm trying to pick myself up
But you're getting away
I keep falling down
The words won't come out
My tongue twists in circles
And keeps them trapped in my mouth

But I need the ocean or its sand
Or the high that I felt when you first held my hand
And honey, I just can't feel right alone
Alone

Is there hope for this?
Cause it's you that I miss
And I can't handle another night alone

Please start the sounds and the storyline
I'm falling apart
So watch me as I unravel tonight
And swim through my changing life
Cause I can't handle another long goodbye
Another sleepless night
This is my storyline

General CommentDang. How has no one commented on this song?
    Perfectly describes my situation

    Relationship has ended.
The person is going on with their life.
    New friends.

And the person singing is stuck in the same place.
    Missing the other.
    They're waiting for them.

General CommentThis song is incredibly adorable and completely describes my situation at the moment, minus the part about them ever being together.
    I love this one.
I hope I get to see them on tour with The Hush Sound :]

General Commentthe chord progression in this song is awesome. Their best song next to Honest (Apologies Endless). I'm learning it on guitar, its a really cool change in the major and minor chords.

General CommentPersonally, I don't think that this couple is broken up yet. I think that one of them is not spending time with the other, and instead he/she is spending all of their time with their friends. He/she isn't spending enough time with the other. Maybe they stopped speaking because of this, or took a break. The person who wants the relationship to prosper is saying, "Just talk to me again when you want to. I'll always take you back." The person is taking longer than expected, and it's tearing the other person apart with anxiety. He/she wants to tell them, but they can't find the right words. They might not want to come across as being mean, or rude. The other person is getting more and more distant each day, and he/she keeps thinking about all of the good things that they've shared. He/she has faith that the other person will come around, and things will be the way they were. Then they start to question it, "Is there hope for this?
Cause it's you that I miss" The other person really really doesn't want for it to end because they can't imagine life without them, and they don't want to say goodbye. They can't sleep because they're worrying that the other will break it off.

General CommentI think that the relationship has ended, since their lives have gone separate ways. The girl probably ended the relationship, and he's still in love with her. She has gotten new friends and is showing a new side of herself, maybe doing things he doesn't approve of, while he is a constant, pure reminder of unconditional love. This is gorgeous.
