"East Northumberland High" as written by Samantha Jo Moore, Antonina Armato and Timothy James....
My problem isn't that I miss you
'Cause I don't
My problem isn't that I kissed you
Whoa oh

I figured out
That you're nothin' that I thought you're about
You're just caught in a place
It's what time will erase in my heart

You're my type of guy I guess
If I was stuck in East Northumberland High
For the rest of my life
But people change, thank God I did

Just because I liked you back then
It doesn't mean I like you now
Just because I liked you back then
It doesn't mean I like you

Your problem's not for lack of tryin'
'Cause you do
It's just that you're at your best when you're lyin'
Whoa oh

Now you're standing here
And saying things you think I wanted to hear
But you got it all wrong
I've already moved on, my dear

You're my type of guy I guess
If I was stuck in East Northumberland High
For the rest of my life
But people change, thank God I did

Just because I liked you back then
It doesn't mean I like you now
Just because I liked you back then
It doesn't mean I like you

When you're standing near me
I don't see so clearly
The feelings are still palpable
But when I take two steps away
It sheds some light on my day

Yeah you can't go back
It's all in the past
Guess you gotta laugh at it

You're my type of guy I guess
If I was stuck in East Northumberland High
For the rest of my life
But people change, thank God I did

And if there's some confusion
Let me tell ya, you're just delusional
Get a clue, 'cause people change
Thank God I did
Thank God I did
Thank God I did

Just because I liked you back then
It doesn't mean I like you now
Just because I liked you back then
It doesn't mean I like you
It doesn't mean I like you

Just because I liked you back then
It doesn't mean I like you now

Rock and roll, rock it

General CommentMiley didn't write this song, it was written by Samantha Jo Moore. She went to school at East Northumberland High which is in Ontario. This song has nothing to do with Miley, it wasn't written for her specifically.

As for the song itself it is pretty straightforward. Girl and guy liked each other but she grew up and he didn't. He was still stuck in his high school phase and she matured and realized that this is not the type of guy she wants to be with.

General CommentThis song is really cool. It's kind of about a girl thinking about her boyfriend and knowing that he doesn't deserve her. K, thanks. I LOVE ITT.

General CommentThe song is more about a guy who isn't quite over the girl he dated in high school. Consider that the people writing these songs for Miley are in their 20s and 30s, so she's in high school yet singing about being out of high school. Whatever.

The best part of this song is the "Rock n' Roll! Roooooooooooooooooocccccckkkk n' ROLL" AutoTune stretch during the fade out.

General Commentyouguys are wrong.. no offence.
its about how she liked a guy who didnt like her back and then once she was all famous he liked her and she was like no way you missed your chance, and now she sees him for who he really is.

General CommentAnyone who complains about Miley Cyrus is a 15-year-old girl who thinks she has a chance with any of the Jonas Brothers and can't stand that one of them liked Miley enough to date her.

And who also clearly have NO idea what the word raspy means.

    Hmm.
