"Money Honey" as written by Jesse Wainwright, Cameron Melnyk, Simon Clow and Jean Paul Philippon....
As I'm staring through this fire
It's too late to make you mine
So far from where we started
So far from what we wanted
And as both our worlds fall down
We have lost and we have found
So far from where we started
So far from what we wanted

I've made mistakes, that I can't erase
I've made mistakes

[Chorus]
If I had more money honey
Would you love me, love me, love me
If I wasn't just somebody like me, like me
If I had more money honey
Would you love me, love me, love me
If I wasn't just somebody like me, like me
I've made mistakes that I can't erase, I've made mistakes

Oh I should have seen the signs
Now we're falling back in time
So far from where we started
So far from what we wanted
And I'm trying to right this wrong
So I need you to be strong
So far from where we started
So far from what we wanted

I've made mistakes, that I can't erase
I've made mistakes

[Chorus]

Ya ya yo, ya ya yo
I know you know
So let it go
Ya ya yo, ya ya yo
I know you know,
I've made mistakes
That I can't erase
I've made mistakes

[Chorus]

Ya ya yo, ya ya yo
I know you know
So let it go
Ya ya yo, ya ya yo
I know you know

General CommentThe guy is losing a girl and knows it's because he's made mistakes. He's wonders if she'd want to be with him if he had more money or if he were a different person.

I find the song to be verrry catchy. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to it too. Overall, it's a pretty great song. It has me interested in listening to more of their stuff :D

General CommentAwesome song, I love the chorus, the first time i heard it the speaker made it sound kind of underwater and they were singing so fast i couldnt make out the chorus. But the chorus is my favorite part. I agree with Ireland94 on the meaning.

General Commentmrsjoshramsay and canadiangurl91... I made that mistake too! Ha, basically I think it means, 'would you love me if I were rich?' Because his love interest seems to be only into the men with the cash.

And by the way, mrsjoshramsay... haha, nice name, I love Josh Ramsay, too. Marianas Trench rocks.

    So does state of shock.

General CommentI believe the guy in the song is trying to alleviate his girl's fears and insecurites

He's made mistakes and wonders if he can make up for it

He is trying to convince her, but it's not entirely his fault,

it's her failings/insecurities fears, but he can't help taking it upon himself that it must be solely his fault for the mistakes he's made

Then he wonders if it's his fault for not making enough money, AND for being such a loser (If I wasn't just somebody Like Me)

    General CommentI love this line.

"It's too late to make you mine"

Okay, so my take of the song is he has made many mistakes, and although he can't erase them, he still regrets them.

And I think he is trying to tell his significant other that he can't forgive himself for his own mistakes so he doesn't expect them to either. But he wonders if he was someone else, or had more money, would that change it and make her love him?
