This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
Mail order brides, turtlenecks, and trophy wives,
Had the ways and means to breach,
The borders of easy street,
And to blend right in,
We all surrounded them in a white picket fence,
Now both ends meet,
Sufficed to say there's a time and a place,
So I wait,
For the tug-of-war and who you'll pull for,
While between you and me from point A to point be is a fine line,
That burns at both our good ends,
Two peas in a pod, a battle axe, and a bastard child,
Took one step more and went straight to the source,
And to blend right in,
They opened fire with their rain checks spent to make ends meet,
Sufficed to say there's a time and a place,
So I wait,
For the tug-of-war and who you'll pull for,
While between you and me from point A to point be is a fine line,
That burns at both our good ends,
Go on, paint the whole town red,
I'd rather follow who cleans up the mess,
And so I wait,
Sufficed to say there's a time and a place,
So I wait,
For the tug-of-war and who you'll pull for,
While between you and me from point A to point be is a fine line,
That burns at both our good ends.
Had the ways and means to breach,
The borders of easy street,
And to blend right in,
We all surrounded them in a white picket fence,

Hayalperest
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
I Can't Go To Sleep

Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
I'm thinking this song is from the point of view of a guy that watched and maybe encouraged a "perfect couple" to get together while he actually had a thing for the woman, maybe they were friends/lovers.
But the guy knows that the husband wasn't deserving (bastard child, i.e. father not around?), knows they're struggling, and waits and watches to see if the wife is going to stick it out in the bad relationship or leave the husband and come to him. "I'd rather follow who cleans up the mess" indicates he's not the kind to speak up and actively do something about the situation, but still the waiting and watching (or having an affair) creates anxiety and stress, and thus "burns at both [their] good ends."
Just a thought!
so, i am a new user and this is my first song analysis. dont judge harshly please<br /> <br /> first of all, i agree with AuntieEm&UncleSam about the analysis of the line: "mail order brides turtle necks and trophy wives had the ways and means to breach the borders of easy street" But, i also think that FTM is comparing 2 married couples no child.<br /> <br /> when he says "we all surround them in a white picket fence" he means that we glorify a family that looks that well off even though there is no love in the couple.<br /> <br /> He speaks of the other couple after the chorus: "2 peas in a pod, a battleaxe, and a bastard child took one step more and went straight to the source and to blend right in they opened fire with their rain checks spent to make ends meet"<br /> A battleaxe is a woman with a strong opinion. a bastard child is a child with unwed parents. they are an unfortunate couple. but they are perfect for eachother. (2 peas in a pod).<br /> <br /> we dont look at them as a well off couple. they spent their rain checks to make ends meet. But they are in love, and thats all that matters.<br /> <br /> the chorus is saying that theres a time and a place that he will wait for love. the tug of war is life and its challenges. he will pull for the one he loves. "While between you and me from point A to point B is a fine line" -things will be fine when theres love between 2 people<br /> <br /> <br /> "go on, paint the whole town red I'd rather follow who cleans up the mess And so I wait." -even if the community doesnt look at them as a well off successful couple, they are there for eachother through hard times(the mess). so he will wait for that love.<br /> <br /> at least, thats what i got out of it.<br /> <br />
