Betrayed one more time
But somewhere down that line
You're gonna get what's coming to you

Look at me now
Look at me now
Look at me now!

Pull it out from my back
Soon I'm the one that's on attack
Can't wait to return the favor

Look at me now
Look at me now
Look at me now!

Too many time I've seen it, rip a hole into our friendship
This is how it's been, how it always will be

You think you're above me (You think you're above me!)
But now I'm here to envy

Four words to choke upon!
Look! (Look!)
At, me
Now!

Betrayed one more time
But somewhere down that line
You're gonna get what's coming to you

Look at me now
Look at me now
Look at me now!

Pull it out from my back
Soon I'm the one that's on attack
Can't wait to return the favor

Look at me now
Look at me now
Look at me now!

Too many time I've seen it, rip a hole into our friendship
This is how it's been, how it always will be

You think you're above me (You think you're above me!)
But now I'm here to envy

Four words to choke upon!
Look! (Look!)
At, me
Now!

Oh!

Too many time I've seen it, rip a hole into our friendship
Four words to choke upon!

Too many time I've seen it, rip a hole into our friendship
This is how it's been, how it always will be

You think you're above me (You think you're above me!)
But now I'm here to envy

Four words to choke upon!
Look! (Look!)
At, me
Now!

This song has a very blatent meaning. I'm surprised none of you have gotten it completly.

More or less, Being rejects, a so-called-friend finally starts to get popular, and abanndons him. Says "what do you matter, no one likes you and you'll never amount to anything. Then He's just like, yknow what? Fuck you.

Later the frined comes crawling back. Begging for forgiveness. And he turns them down. The friend retaliates. Starts talking shit. Shows their true colors.

Now he's just like. Look at me now. I'm way better off than you. I never needed you. You needed me. Now you can choke on those words.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
