Dim is the light of a new day
In the land of the undying sun
Hollow the silence around me
Distant the sound of a gun

[Port side is close to the shore]
I wonder where she is
[Incoming shot cross the bow]
Will she remember me

Wail my April moon
God forsaken soul
I remember you
Come with me tonight

Damned is the dawn of a new day
Reflections of death and despair
Frost misty waters around me
Frantic and naked the fear

Wail my April moon
God forsaken soul
I remember you
Come with me tonight

General CommentThis song is a really good one, the chorus is so CATCHY! Such good, underground stuff.

Anyway, the title Blucher is about a German ship. It's real, and it sunk less than three years after her launch. By Norwegian shore defences.

This song definitely is about that, "Port side is close to the shore... Incoming shot cross the bow," that's pretty much all that makes sense to me pre-looking so deep into it.

Really check this song out, it's great.

General CommentThe Ship was sunk in April 1940 -> Wail my April moon.

It was morning -> DIm is the light of a new day

It was before Norway -> Land of the undying sun

830 people died. I think one of these deads is the narrator of this song.

In the opening of the song you can hear part of the "Our Father" in german and a crewman speaking to his captain in german. I think one member of Kamelot is german.

In fact, I am a bit afraid Kamelot might fancy Nazi-Stuff because they make this reference to a third-reich war ship.

I believe this to be simply a memorial song, not about being pro-Nazi or anything like that.

In fact, one of the songwriters of s from Norway, the nation that Blücher's fleet tried to attack.
