Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
You came at last, and your timing was impeccable your role had not been cast
And you fit the mold you were perfect in most every way a subject to behold
Now the news had broken through, and all of those stories grew
We wondered if you're capable of all they say you do...
You
You
Early photos by assortment, all of this made you important
We were given something new
Fantasies we're bound by wire, fiction told by your desires
Story holes we fell into, but it's too late
Cause we're obsessed with you
You came at last, you gave a face to all the media that left us quite aghast
And you filled a void, and your musings filled the broadcast air for all to be enjoyed
Soon we all were moving on
One last look and you were gone
Your future may hold many things, but all of us we're through with you
You came at last, and before you had a chance to speak your time already passed
Bottom line appease the sponsors take a hold and sell the monster
Innocence we hardly knew
Stories to add fuel to fires, in the end they'll call you liar
But the truth is we're all glad for you
And you fit the mold you were perfect in most every way a subject to behold
Now the news had broken through, and all of those stories grew
We wondered if you're capable of all they say you do...

I think this song is definitely about Jesus. The overall point makes it sound like it and lines like "In the end, they'll call you liar" kind of give it away.
I think that this song is quite obvious and is about the American idol and star in an second life cycle.<br /> <br /> at the start you are everything new and exciting:<br /> "You came at last, and your timing was impeccable your role had not been cast<br /> And you fit the mold you were perfect in most every way a subject to behold"<br /> <br /> now you are everywhere:<br /> "You came at last, you gave a face to all the media that left us quite aghast<br /> And you filled a void, and your musings filled the broadcast air for all to be enjoyed"<br /> <br /> now we are bored with you:<br /> "You came at last, and before you had a chance to speak your time already passed<br /> Bottom line appease the sponsors take a hold and sell the monster"<br /> <br /> at first they loved him/her in the end he was nothing, but the sponsors were happy any way they got what they wanted

This song is about John Mark Karr and the media buzz that surrounded him.
Kevin Gibson (singer of Tubring) interesting story, i actually got a myspace message from seven exodus himself saying he heard we wrote a song about him (well, its not really about him..more about the media creating a 'character', which is what they did with john mark karr...i had been watching Nancy Grace before i started writing the lyrics to that..heh...f-ing Nancy Grace... phssh) anyway, he looks exactly like his dad, and i tried writing him back, but his myspace profile was private and wouldn't take mail, then i tried adding him as a friend, but you needed to know his email address to even add him.. so that was the extent of our interaction.

I've actually known that this song was about John Mark Karr for a few years now. I dated Seven Exodus Karr a couple years ago, and I did some research. I found that there was a song called "Seven Exodus" and listened to the song, and i KNEW that it was about John Mark Karr. It couldn't have been about anything else, especially sense his sons name is in the title of the song. Duh. Seven is a great kid, and this kind of publicity is terrible for him. It's bad enough as it is that his dad is a psychopath, but why drag him into the publicity? The humor? I think it's a monstrosity. Leave him out of it. He's a wonderful young man.
