In the midst of this nothing
This miss of a life
Still there's this wanting
Just to see you go by

It's almost like lovin'
Sad as that is

May not be cool,
But it's so where I live

It's like i'm your lover
Or more like your ghost
I spend the day wondering
What you do, where you go

I try and just kick it
But then, what can I do
We've all got our junk
And my junk is you

See us, winter walking after a storm
It's chill in the wind but it's warm in your arms
The stop all snow line, may not be true
We've all got our junk, and my junk is you

Well, you’ll have to excuse me
I know it’s so off
I love when you do stuff
That’s rude and so wrong

I go up to my room
Turn the stereo on
Shoot up some you
And the you is some song

I lie back just driftin'
And play out these scenes
I ride on the rush
Of all the hopes, all the dreams

I may be neglecting
The things I should do
But we've all got our junk
And my junk is you

See we still keep talkin' after you're gone
You're still with me then feel so good in my arms
They say you go blind, maybe it's true
We've all got our junk, and my junk is you

It's like we stop time
What can I do?
We've all got our junk
And my junk is you
My junk is you
My junk is you

General CommentI wish more people commented on this song, or at least more about the MEANING (songmeaning, not songemotion)

One thing i'm confused about is "they say you go blind"
i'm guessing they are talking about masturbation here? But, is the whole song about masturbation? In the play the piano teacher and the jerking off during this song. But just listening to the first half you would think the song is just about crushing on someone and longing for them.

But then again, the line "it's almost like loving, sad as that is" could also be masturbation. I've just never heard anyone say my junk = masturbation.

General Commentmaybe to tie up the discussion from above, it's about love or lust from afar and the way the song is performed kinda represents how it's different for girls and guys (girls will dream and talk/sing about it and guys will masterbate)

    love the song tho!

General Commentthere's a video of it on youtube and in that video the part you attribute to Anna is Wendla, and vice versa.

General CommentI see. I got lazy on some of these that I wasn't too fond of and copied them from allmusicals.com. They had the names listed above. Thanks for clearing it up, though.

General Commentwait, do they really say "stop all snow line?" What does that mean? I always thought it was "we stumble, snowblind."

General Commentthis song is actually about having a unjustified crush. meaning, loving someone from afar, unbeknownst to them. everyone knows what it's like to have a crush on someone who doesn't know, and this song is just an ode to that secret love.

General Commentwell I think Thea's lines at the end (which are identified here as Anna's lines) could be interpreted as being about a sexual fantasy.
I think that would be really cool, but it's hard to believe because the songs seem to really ignore girls' sexuality. All the guys get solos that are explicitly about masturbation/lust and the girls don't.
