I knew a girl once,
That looked like you.
And she, didn’t eat much,
like you too.

She cut up her favourite magazines
To be like all those celebrities.
But it, made her smile,
For a while.
But it made her smile,
For a while.

I know a girl that dressed like you,
She drank too much,
Like you do!
It made her smile,
For a while!
But it made her smile,
For a while!

It let the feelings deep inside,
And you would never see her cry!
Well all the dust up her nose,
Wishing that her pain would go
Wishing for an alibi
To make it easier,
To hide.

But it made her smile,
For a while!
But it made her smile,
For a while!
‘Cause it made her smile!
Made her smile made her smile
For a while

General Commenti think this song is about a girl thats maybe got some kind of disorder, and shes trying to be likea supermodel or something "Well all the dust up her nose" could relate to cocaine, not eating much, wanting to be like a celebrity, drinking alot..
    great song though!

General CommentThis song is kinda surreal, since it's actually really sad. I think it's about a girl who copied celebrities, who drank and did drugs, all to hide some deeper pain - and it worked, "for a while". That last line implies all the sadness and pain that came after her actions stopped making her smile.

General CommentSo Vince meets this girl who reminds him of another girl and they seem so similar and hes just telling her about the girl. It seems like this girl kept trying to find things to make her happy like drinking and drugs but it never made her proper happy. She never finds real happiness.

General CommentI think the song is about temporary happiness, I.E drugs, alcohol, nose jobs etc, All that is temporary, as is money. Things of real value are love and family and friends, perhaps he knew someone who was a lost cause. great song,
