"Knights" as written by and Knudson Rose....
I owe you, don't I?
A little light today
but tomorrow, oh tomorrow
I owe you, don't I?
I know it ain't the money girl
There never was money

[Chorus]
It's usually so typical
A piece of you for a piece of me
Its hard-coded
A piece of you for a piece of me

And it's alright
Let's call it good
A little more
Let's make this even

[Chorus x2]

Is it really a sin
if we both come out even?
Come out even

General Commenton the daytrotter interview from July 3, 2008, the notes below the live version of the song say:

"Sometimes sex can feel like an exchange of goods or even a loan to be repaid later. It’s body lending, baby."

General CommentI say it's about his girl cheating on him, and him then cheating on her to make it even. That's why he doesn't see it as a sin, because he owes her.

General Commentkc accidental: This is DEFINITELY not the weakest song on the album, at least not by my standards. (That honor goes to White Mystery, with its [for the most part] disappointingly minimal instrumental arrangement and without the passion in the vocals to make the lyrics convincing.)

But what can I say, I'm more of a sucker for the overall musical impacts of Minus the Bear songs than for the lyrics in most cases.

General Comment"It's usually so typical" is incorrect, it should be "This usury's so typical..."
