(A lover)

(A lover)

This feeling has a thousand limbs,
All the hers and hims,
Tell me do you like it? (I like it)

Too big to fit in this skin, this skin I'm in, because I'm a lover
Breathe out, breathe in!
I won't live locked up, dead, come to life again, because I'm a lover
(A lover)
For the first time I opened my eyes, and feel alive that's 'cos I'm a lover

We're not alone in this psychodrome, but I know that I don't want to lose ya,
Livin' the dream if you know what I mean, and I'll be that boy you used to know.
I'm not alone, got this microphone and I know that I ain't gonna fool ya,
Be that king tryna be that queen and you wouldn't save it

(A lover)

(A lover)

Open me like a door, a flower or a boy or a cloud that went grey
(A lover)
There's nobody in the streets, or in their homes, just skies and winter play
Breathe out, breathe in!
Got to save this poisoned feeling, my mind ain't clean because i'm a lover
(A lover)
Dreaming won't heal, here's a clue: I am here for you, I'll be your provider

We're not alone in this psychodrome, but I know that I don't want to lose ya,
Afraid of the walls behind closed doors well I'm just a baby in your arms.
I'm not alone, I've got this microphone and ya know that I ain't gonna fool ya,
We watch in fear, read a magazine, just to keep our minds erased.
Keep our minds erased!

We're not alone in this psychodrome, but I know that I don't want to lose ya,
A love is made like a Starbucks chain and we're taking over this neighborhood!
We're not alone in this psychodrome, and I know that I don't want to lose ya,
Livin' the dream if you know what I mean, and I'll be that boy you used to know.
We're not alone in this psychodrome, but I know that I don't want to lose ya,
afraid of the walls, behind closed doors, Well I'm just a baby in your arms.

We're not alone,
We're not alone,
We're not alone,
(I don't wanna lose ya)
We're not alone,
We're not alone,
Not alone,
Not alone,
(I don't wanna lose ya)
We're not alone,
We're not alone,
Not alone,
We're not alone,
We're not alone,
We're not alone,
We're not alone,
We're not alone!
We're not alone!
We're not alone!
We're not alone!
We're not alone!
We're not alone!
We're not alone!
We're not alone!
We're not alone!

(I don't wanna lose ya)

General CommentAs i understand 'psychodrom' simply means 'world'. Were not alone in this world but anyway he doesnt want to lose her.

General CommentSounds like it's about two people in love, but both of them have many other sexual partners and are afraid they'll lose eachother.

'We're Not Alone' refers to the multiple partners, 'Psychodrome' means that the difficulties of forming a relationship are two-way, from both the people (as per CatCourps's insight)

General CommentI think Karkacabraon has the best interpretation, just that the couple in question don't actually need have many sexual partners, it might just be their fantasies or fears or options they ponder. Maybe only the singer's character is promiscuous and becomes paranoid about his loved one. I don't think that really matters, since it doesn't change the main point, which is the clash between two conflicting life affirming and love affirming forces - the force of your current "one true love" and the force of other people around you both.

Also I think that "drome" in psychodrome (since that seems to be the hot topic) is obviously cognate to hippodrome or aerodrome. Both of these evoke commotion and crowd and I think that it essentially means "We're not alone in this crowd of people who try to play different roles in each other's lives and try to influence each other's psyches."

Anyway, there aren't many songs in this world that are better than this one. This may sound crazy, but I think I like this song more than anything he did with FNM (and I really LOVE FNM)

    :)

General CommentWhatever a psychodrome is, it probably has more meaning than "It's like a drum".

General Comment"Psychodrome" is probably a mix of the word psycho, or some variant like psychopathy, and the word palindrome. Psychopathy is a mental disorder that involves antisocial behavior and an inability to establish meaningful relationships or express love and palindrome is a word or sequence that can be read the same backward or forward. I'm thinking that the theme of the song is maintaining a relationship but not really being able to (psychopathy) but going through the motions anyway and facing the same problems as before so it's a palindrome because it's the same every way you look at it.

General CommentAnother popular flat ride at Canobie Lake Park is the "Psychodrome", a 12-car Sizzler ride located in a dome, with special effects lighting and music.
