I want you, but I can't have you
I spend all day thinking about nothing else
I need to, be with you
Cause I can't stand it by myself

I'm on the train on the way to work
As my brain siphons through the hurt
There's a man starring hard at me
How do I look, what does he see in me?

I want you, if I can't have you
I won't give you up to no one else
I'll hurt you, if I have to
I will fight with tools of war and stealth

I'm getting lunch from a sandwich bar
Egg mayonnaise familiar
Faces and words only go so far
Gonna keep my heart here in my bra

I want you but I can't have you
I spend all day thinking about nothing else
I need to be with you
Cause I can't stand it by myself

Well, I don't think you take me seriously
I am hurting and you're going to see
What it feels like deep inside of me
Now I won't rest till I have victory

Cause I want you and I'm gonna have you
I'll spend my days with you or else
I'll fight you, then I'm gonna psych you
I'll take you all until you melt (uuh uu)

Fate or fashion, Crime of passion
No redemption in this world (uuh uu)
First I break you then I'll take you
Having rung the judgement bell (uuh uu)
I will scorn you when I´ve torn you
And I'll spit you out as well (uuh uu)
Now I'll warn you, I still love you
And I'll be with you in hell (uuh uu)

I love you
And I miss you
Wanna kiss you
One more time

lyrically this is a stalkerish song about siobhan having unrequited love, but a very entertaining song nonetheless.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
