If you were my child I'd carry you away
I'd travel through time, before silence was born

No hope for the child, this world has gone bad.
When when's today, the machines say, what is a man to do

No light, only suffocating dark
deep
burning
pain
I'm losing everything I am
remember nothing of my past
Now, it is all gone,
and I fear the Game is Over.

Save me,
Save me,
Save me,
Take me away...
Away from this time, back where lies my home

(Where is my home...)
(Where is my home...)
(Where is my home...)

my grass isn't green...
my sky isn't blue...
The river runs dry...
my flower has died...
This isn't my home

I follow the moon to find a path away from the scorching sun...
I follow the stars to my abode, it's burning...
I seize the moment to hear a story no ones telling anymore
the worlds forgotten, the words forbidden.

General CommentMaybe it's just me, but I feel like this song is a prequal/intro to "Fly With the Black Swan". I can't listen to one without listening to the other, it's almost as if the stories connect.

General CommentI have a theory, I think its related to a military hit to the state (Golpe de estado). Thus he wants to carry his child before the silence was born. I think it fits pretty well.. maybe..

General Commentmaybe its about a guy (or girl) that has a child and trys to sace it from hte world "No hope for the child, this world has gone bad." and after sometime the child grows and sees the new world he is in, and he starts saying to himself "my grass isn't green...
    my sky isn't blue...
    The river runs dry...
    my flower has died...
This isn't my home" ("this its not the world i knew back then")

General CommentI kind of think aliens at some points...the weird sound effects, the voice he says "where is my home" in, following the stars...but that doesn't make a huge amount of sense in the rest of the song.

I can't help but feel "the child" is in part a Nightwish referance considering they're always going on about some "dead boy" or century child or something like that...

General CommentI'm thinking it's a sequel to "Destruction Preventer". The end of Destruction Preventer has an atomic bomb going off, starting a nuclear holocaust. TWFTWF continues on after the initial explosion, with the narrator suffering from the effects of the intense radiation ("No light, only suffocating dark/deep, burning pain). The narrator longs for something comfortable, like his home. He notices things have changed for the worse (obviously...).
my grass isn't green- [It's all burning]
my sky isn't blue- [It's dark red with dust and fire]
The river runs dry- [explosion makes river go bye bye]
my flower has died- [died from radiation, fire, etc]
This isn't my home- [it isn't the same]

As for the title, The Worlds Forgotten refers to the peoples lives that were lost due to world leader's vanities, and the Words Forbidden might be the call to initiate a nuclear launch.

General CommentI think it's about the world we live in today, and how we are slowly losing our morals and things we care about. The new generations that are born and such are going to be born into a relatively unhealthy environment, and it's only going to get worse.

My InterpretationI think the "my grass isn't green, my sky isn't blue, my river runs dry, my flower has died"-part is all metaphorical. I think the narrator indicates that the world is changing.
My interpretation of the song is that it is about the future. How the environment gets ruined and that it's no place to live (if you were my child, I'd carry you away).
