Are you saying love
Or are you saying nothing
Still life is a crime
That I can't ignore
Your perfect ways will follow
The temperature that's rising
All this time you never let me think

It was the hardest part to know
It was the fastest we could run
It was the farthest we could go
We are a lie my angel

Cause for hate and
A cause for ending
It sounds so easy
But everytime we were supposed to let go
We'd make love
Now pull me closer let the heat take over

Call me your way
Call me away
Don't end it open
I tried to love you like before
If this was our night
It was the best one of our lives

Are you saying now
Or are you saying never
The still frame in my mind cannot be ignored
And all I can remember
Is the way you moved your body
And how your lips never said no
But it was killing you inside
Cause you thought I was the one
And now it's out of your control
You have arrived my angel

Cause for hate and
A cause for ending
It sounds so easy
But everytime we were supposed to let go
We'd make love
Now pull me closer let the heat take over you
You

And we were drawing lines not to cross
So we would never feel a thing
And now it's breaking you apart
Just like it broke your heart

Cause for hate and
A cause for ending
It sounds so easy
But everytime we were supposed to let go
We'd make love
Now pull me closer let the heat take over

Call me your way
Call me away
Don't end it open
I tried to love you like before
If this was our night
It was the best one of our lives

I have listened to this song so many times and really hits home for me. I feel it talks about a relationship that has ended. Its ended for because they have gone as far as the relationship could go. They break it off and push each other away, yet everytime they end it, they come back to each other one more time. They set boundries to keep away from each other and each time they go back again and again, but after every time they meet, they set those boundries again. When they are together, they let their bodies and don't think with their minds. Everytime they are together, it is supposed to be the last time, so if it is the last time "it was the best one of our lives." The relationship is on and off. They know they can't be together, but they can't stand to be apart.

Just my thoughts on it. A great song!

Yeah, haha... took me a while since I got your message Heartahimfan666 to finally get around to responding, but after listening to this song over and over and over, I dunno wtf he says in that line... we probably should just wait until the 24th to figure it out for sure.

I think it says "let the heat take over" instead of "after he'd take over" .

This: "We are alive my angel

    Carcerated A tougher ending"

    Should be...

"You are a lie, my angel

Cause for hate and cause for ending"

This: "Now pull me closer after he'd take over you You" Should be... "Now pull me closer, let the heat take over" (you)"

This: "Cut me away Cut me away Don't end it up and"

Should be... "Call me your way, call me away Don't end it open"

And, it is... "If this was our night It was the best one of our lives"

Also... "Your still-frame in my mind cannot be ignored"

This: "You have arised my angel" Should be... "You have arrived, my angel"

This: "And we're were drawling lines not to cross" Should be... "We were drawing lines not to cross"

Sorry...don't mean to be picky. Bought the album yesterday and I really love this song. I checked the booklet for the lyrics and people seemed to have trouble figuring out the lyrics, so I thought I'd help.

I get chills during the chorus...loving the album, and this song...

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
