"Son" as written by and Scott Richard/indrizzo Weiland....
Coolness is staring at that sun
Coolness is driving with my son
Time and time again I'm not the man
Time and time again I'm not the one

Now got to sleep you little child of mine
I wish I had the beauty you hold inside
Now go to sleep you little boy of mine
You make the world a better place to find

Coolness is staring at that sun
Coolness is driving with my son
Time and time again I'm not the man
Time and time again I'm not the one

Now got to sleep you little child of mine
I wish I had the beauty you hold inside
Now go to sleep you little boy of mine
You make the world a better place to find

Ah
Now got to sleep you little child of mine
I wish I had the beauty you hold inside
Now go to sleep you little boy of mine

You make the world a better place to find
Ah

General CommentContrary to popular belief, this song is not about Scott Weiland's son Noah, who was born two years after this song was written. This song was written by Scott and one of the other guys who worked on 12 Bar Blues with him (I can't remember who) about "that guy"'s son. I'm pretty sure Scott also related the lyrics to the abortion he and his wife went through around 1993/94.

General CommentAnybody has an idea from where comes the 'acoustic' version of this song? I've found it on sort of 'Stone Temple Pilots Unplugged' compilation. Seems to be a demo version cosidering the quality of sound, but can anybody confirm it?
