"Freedom" as written by Onika Tanya Maraj, Matthew Raymond Burnett and Matthew Jehu Samuels....
Don't wanna be a martyr in this war
Don't wanna hear the same excuses anymore
That everything's a threat and it's only gonna get wose if we let it

don't wanna blame the rich for what they got
Don't point a finger at the poor for what they have not
Though the politician and the priest live in the belly of the beast because we fed it

freedom is seldom found by beatin someone to the ground
Tellin em how everything is gonna be now, yeah,

now if the tables were turned tell me how you would feel
Somebody busted up into your house tellin you to stay still
While the leaders will deny defeat the innocent they testify by dyin in the street

freedom is seldom found by beatin someone to the ground
Tellin em how everything is gonna be
Freedom is seldom found by beatin someone to the ground
Tellin em how everything is gonna be now

General CommentI love the first verse of this song. It's totally how I feel now about things in the world. It's just a song about how you can't gain freedom through hurting people, only through love nad help in the world.

General CommentLee openly sings about the brewing bullshit in the United States of these recent past years.

General CommentHe writes often about people struggling...like not being able to afford rent in "keep it loose, keep it tight" ...He's obviously hurt before, just like most of us in our 20's and 30's. He's just real..in every sense. Love the man (: I listen to this song on repeat and sing it loud!
