"Won't Go Home Without You" as written by and Adam Levine....
I asked her to stay
But she wouldn't listen
And she left before I had the chance to say, oh
The words that would mend
The things that were broken
But now it's far too late; she's gone away

Every night you cry yourself to sleep
Thinking: "Why does this happen to me?
Why does every moment have to be so hard?"
Hard to believe that

It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you

The taste of her breath
I'll never get over
The noises that you made kept me awake
Oh
The weight of the things that remained unspoken
Built up so much it crushed us everyday

Every night you cry yourself to sleep
Thinking: "Why does this happen to me?
Why does every moment have to be so hard?"
Hard to believe that

It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you

It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you

Of all the things I felt but never really shown
Perhaps the worst is that I ever let you go
I should not ever let you go, oh, oh, oh

It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you

Oh, oh, oh
It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you
And I won't go home without you
And I won't go home without you
And I won't go home without you

    I like that a lot.

This is what I'm getting from this song: She ended it because of something he did, and she's not over him yet. He wants her back and he realizes that it's his fault that he lost her. He's asking for a second chance and it might be too late, but he's determined to get her back.

Just because the initial guitar work is palm muted like in Every Breath You Take doesn't mean they copied The Police. There's only so much you can do on a guitar anyway, it sounds similar, so what?
Just shut up and discuss the song meaning.

And I think the song is about a couple who has their rough patches, and despite that the relationship is difficult and is on it's way out, he doesn't want to give up on them. Totally don't want to sound all cheesy, but it reminds me a little of the storyline in "The NotebooK". Kinda-ish.

General Commentthis song is about a guy whos girlfriend just broke up wtih him.. its talking about the things he should have done and could have done to fix it. its almost like he is in denail about the situation when he says

    "It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you"

he is saying i dont want thi to be over let me fix it he doesnt know what he will do if its over and he doesnt want to go on with out her.

if a guy would actually ever appoligize like this and really mean it i would fall madly in love with him,

General Commenti think it is about a guy whos girlfriend broke up with him but he is determined to be with her so he won't leave until he gets her back. he feels bad because he says "Of all the things I felt I've never really showed perhaps the worst is that I ever let you go, should not ever let you go"

i love this song so much!!!

the lead singer looks like my dad!

General CommentDid the people who transcribed these lyrics even pass Middle School? Not only are they wrong, they're grammatically incorrect.

General CommentWhy were these lyrics accepted? Not only do I agree with Jayemel but it's obviously a cut AND paste with the obvious hint of it half way through the song.

This is such abeautiful song. God, it's such a shame to let it go to waste this way.

General CommentThis song really makes me think. It reminds me of what i'm going through right now.. different circumstances really.. but the same concept.

I get this from it: This person really cares about this other person. And he let the person go once but knows what a mistake he had made letting them go and the mistake that he made during the friendship (in my case) but the relationship in this case probably. He just wants things to work so bad but doesn't know if that's possible if that other person will listen. This is how i see it.
