"Guys Like You Make Us Look Bad" as written by and Craig Edward/frisby Mabbitt....
You scream don't look, you scream don't touch
What have they done? What have I not?
And every time I think about your voice I
Start to tremble, and my throats aching
And anytime you need a shoulder, I'm right here
You've just gotta find a way.

She sits alone, tries to adjust
She cries please let me go I won't tell anyone
You scream don't look, please god don't touch

Oh God please help us, get her out of this

its about this girl who got raped before, and now that she has a boyfriend or this guy likes her, shes scared to be like "held" by him...because it reminds her of the past. like they scarred her

so theyre basically saying like gosh "GUYS" in general....look how you treat girls..look what you brought upon them.

its "guys" like that that make "us guys" judged before they do anything.
hence the title "guys like you make us look bad"

:D i love the screams at the beginning BTW

General CommentI think we all got the idea :]

Rape is so horrible... even from a guy's view. How would someone feel, if he loves a girl, but she was raped..? He would be really scared to even touch her, she's been broken by someone so hard... I think that he is sorry that guy like that make everyone else look like that to her.

If you were though something like that, you would probably get the idea how it feels to adjust to the "set"... After you hear his voice in your head, you want to cry and your troath aches from trying to hold back screams...

Love this song, wish no one realtes to it like others have already...

General Commentmaybe this is incorrect, but i always took this song as being about a guy remorsing over a girl getting raped. the words "you scream dont lok please god dont touch" really imply that in my oppinion. and the words "and every time i think about ur voice i start to tremble" i dunno makes me think of how the thought of an innocent girl getting abused makes him shutter disgustedly and the sound of her voice reminds him. this is how i take the song. it's such a powerful song and truthful.

General CommentIt's most definately about rape. No doubt about it.
When I hear this song, it makes me so sad because the girl in the video is so little, and the song's about rape. I don't know how much they have to do with each other and how much the band wanted the video to represent the song, but my God...

General CommentThis song is most likely about rape and after seeing the video, my reason for saying that has increased.

General CommentI mostly agree with sofa king. I think the song is about a girl who was raped as a child and is now in a relationship, but cannot get close to her partner because of the abuse she suffered.
"You scream don't look, you scream don't touch" -- A guy is describing how his girlfriend's rape has affected their physical (as well as mental) relationship.
"And everytime I think about your voice, I start to tremble" -- He really loves her, but he can't stand to see her like this.
"And anytime you need a shoulder, I'm right here, you've just gotta find a way" -- He wants to comfort her, but she has to "find a way" to want support.
I also think that the musical break with the slow music can represent her making peace with the fact that she is scarred, or the guy realizing that HE really can't help her, but God possibly can ("Oh God please help us, get her out of this").

General CommentEverytime i hear this song it makes me feel bad for all the people that have been abused. They had this add on tv once and it said something like 2 in every 5 young girls under the age of 7 get sexualy abused.....how sad =[

My InterpretationThis song is definitely about rape/child abuse. I find it interesting in the video how the older man checks up on her and when she looks up and tries to get close to the door, he walks away. It's as if he's trying to see if her spirit is broken, only to find that it's not working. I like how the girl looks up in the sky and appears to be praying. She finds a way out
