always want what you don't understand
one hand in the jar and a jar on the hand
don't have to go very far
looking for trouble

cheeks puff out with the lies in your mouth
you're lying in it now as you're crying on the couch
hate to say it's not looking good for tomorrow

jarhand
all according to your plans
your number's coming up
you've got yours coming up

jarhand
all according to your plans
your number's coming up
you've got yours coming up

always want what you don't understand
one hand in the jar and a jar on the hand
you don't have to go very far
looking for trouble

jarhand
all according to your plans
your number's coming up
you've got yours coming up

jarhand
all according to your plans
your number's coming up
you've got yours coming up

jarhand
jarhand

it's all in your head, jarhand (x10)

General Commentthe song is about a rebellious albeit scattered and confused young man whom trouble finds rather easily, who thinks he is owed everything, and who wants to dip his hand in every cookie jar he crosses pathes with. The irony, of course, is that he gets caught with his hand in the jar- and, the jar gets caught on his hand. It's a play on words, really. But, of course, all the conceived problems are all in our hero's head.

General CommentWhy do people just assume a song is about a guy, even when no gender is specified?

It's about a PERSON-- boy or girl-- who is prone to getting into trouble, and always has one hand in the cookie jar, so to speak.

I agree with ka_rosko. I just think it could also be about a woman.
