"Tonight I Have To Leave It" as written by and Adam Olenius....
Don't you come up to me and say you like it
It's better if you say you hate it, that's the truth exactly
When we go out dancing I don't want to be bothered
Just want to be bothered with real love

So I heard it's no good to run
But it feels so much better now that it's done
And tonight I have to leave it
Yes, tonight I have to leave it

So, so I heard you know how to write it
Does it mean you're good at putting things on paper?
Rumors say that you're very sorry
Oh no, you're not sorry, no, you're not

So I heard it's no good to run
But it feels so much better now that it's done
And tonight I have to leave it
Yes, tonight I have to leave it

Yes, tonight I have to leave it
Yes, tonight I have to
Yes, tonight I have to leave it

Give love, give love
Why won't you give love, give love?
Why don't you give love, give love, give love?
Why won't you give love, give love, give love?

Yes, tonight I have to
Oh yes, tonight I have to leave it
Yes, tonight I have to
Yes, tonight I have to
Yes, tonight I have to leave it

General CommentThanks for your input, blkshelbygt. It's good to know someone else saw it the same way.

It's a really unique song. I don't know of any other musical artist that openly rejects "romance", as it's currently thought of, as being largely bullshit and that action is what counts. Usually we either have rappers chanting about booty, or Celine Dion singing about vague feelings.

General CommentHe's sick of meaningless, fake relationships
wants something real, and feels good about finally realizing it and dealing with it

General CommentSuch a great song... I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more attention.

The song is about being repulsed by shallow love, carnal lust, etc. -- he just wants to share real love with someone mature enough to give it back. Not someone who "talks love", in poems or in dance clubs, but someone who can "give love". Furthermore, the title of the song is about finally recognizing that it's sometimes good to give up on a relationship when you can you already KNOW it's shaping up into something you don't want. Leave it! Don't torture yourself by listening to others advice to "stick it out" or your own self doubts. You know what you want, so you go and get it and accept nothing less.

General CommentGreat pop song - but it does sound like Goldmember singing In-between Days by the Cure!

General CommentAmazing song. It kind of mirrors my feeling on relationships, not just romantic, but people in general. It's like, I'm afraid to get hurt, but it's scary when it's to a degree where you're not "living" life. It's weird, and hard to talk about. Love the song.

General Commenti like this song so much. just because you say something, it doesn't mean it's the truth (most likely it's not). this is so relatable!

General CommentWow, I agree with everyone. It's so easy to relate because I think everyone has had a similar experience. On both ends - the lover who wants something meaningful and the one who stays for sheer pity.
