"Do You Feel" as written by and Stephen Bryce Avary....
I'm thinking 'bout other things I heard about today
All this week and tomorrow
And how these hands can create some better things, a better ring
But you see for now I got my own things

I can't help it, I got too many issues I own
So I cannot help I'm afraid, yeah
But keep on preachin', preachin' and heal the world
Lip service makes us look great

Do you feel the weight of the world singin' sorrow'
Or do you, is it just not real
'Cause you got your own things
Yeah, we all have our things I guess

I guess my mind wanders off from time to time
Sometimes I convince myself that all is fine
In the world it's not mine why should I have to try
To fix things I didn't create or contrive

Do you feel the weight of the world singin' sorrow'
Or do you, is it just not real
'Cause you got your own things
Yeah, we all have so many things

Have the habits had you'
Has it been for long'
Can you feel the souls behind'
What's going on'

Do you feel the weight of the world singin' sorrow'
Or do you, is it just not real
'Cause you got your own things
Yeah, we all have our things

Do you feel the weight of the world singin' sorrow'
Or do you, is it just not real
'Cause you got your own things
'Cause we all have so many things
And I can't get past these things, ohh

General Commentit's a commentary on Christians, how Christians are supposed to be helping others but they don't. That some of them are just to self centered to help out and there excuse is that they all have their own problems and issues to deal with

General CommentI dont think this song is christian.
I think this song is for anyone, because preaching can mean talking, or just trying to tell someone what to do, so maybe, "but keep on preachin', preachin' to heal the world
lip service makes us look great" means People say things are worng in the world and maybe truly do want to help, but they also do nothing about it. And others just say things to make themselves look good.

But either way, an amzing song, that has a lot of power. My all time favorite song.

General Commentokay cool but what does this song MEAN? this is songmeanings. i don't understand this song. obviously he's saying there are a lot of the problems in the world, but is he saying to himself that he can't fix it, or is he saying it to other people...? like is he saying there are a lot of problems, but i have my own to fix first...? cuz if he is, i think it's weird to sing a song about that. it's kind of selfish. no offense i love this band, but i really don't understand this song. a little help here.

General Commenti found the right words! i'm just wondering if he is saying about himself or if he is mocking someone. like saying "keep on preaching to the world, lip service makes us look great." is he talking about america? the american people? it's really bothering me.

General CommentOk, well Bryce is basically explaining that their are many problems in the world we live in today and people go on and try to ignore that fact. He also explains that even know these problems may have existed before our time or that we had no part in them we need to try and fix them. Basically just pay attention to what is going on around you because all it takes is that one person to make a change.

General CommentI agree with the last comment, but I think in addition it's not just that everyone ignores the big problems; it's that everyone is so wrapped up in their own problems [is it just not real 'cause you got your own things] and trying to solve them by whatever means [have the habits had you], so that we become self obsessed and don't try to fix the big picture.
