"Innocence" as written by Bjork Gudmundsdottir, Floyd Nathaniel Hills and Timothy Z. Mosley....
I once had no fears
None at all
And then when
I had some

To my surprise
I grew to like both
Scared or brave
Without them

The thrill of fear
Thought I'd never admit it
The thrill of fear
Now greatly enjoyed with courage

When I once was
Untouchable
Innocence roared
Still amazes

When I once was
Innocent
It's still here
But in different places

Neurosis
Only
Attaches
Itself to
Fertile
Ground
Where it can flourish

The thrill of fear
Thought I'd never admit it
The thrill of fear
Now greatly enjoyed with courage

When I once was
Fearless
Innocence roared
Still amazes

Untouchable
Innocence
It's still here
But in different places

Fear is a powerful drug
Overcome it and
You think that you can do
Anything!

Should I
Save myself
For later
Or generously give?

Fear of
Losing
Energy
Is draining

It locks up your chest
Shuts down the heart
Miserly
And stingy
Let's open up : share!

When I once was
Fearless
Innocence roared
Still amazes

Untouchable
Innocence
It's still here
But in different places

General CommentI think it's about how we can still embrace fear without being neurotic. fear is there for a reason, and to live without it would cause somebody to become jaded, but to let it control you would be detrimental to your life. so we must overcome it, and in this way we also retain some of our childlike innocence without being crippled by fear of the unknown.

General CommentWe have to mature to a state where we can enjoy both fear and courage in our lives. The speaker personally fears losing energy.

My OpinionThis is such an abnosome song! It's abnormal that she's implying that innocence (commonly associated with irrational fears) is actually less frightening than experience, but it's awesome that she says that courage makes it fun! Abnosome!

General CommentIn my humble opinion, she still retains some innocence, but she's struggling with it,

From what I've heard so far, Volta will be ****ing awesome!

General CommentI heard this before Earth Intruders, and i must say i love this so much more. Earth Intruders is gorgeous, but this is so simple and lovely. This woman is my favorite musician ever, and she always delivers :D

General CommentThis song is kinda our love affair w/ roller coasters, we love to fear....like a lot of thing in life, take relationships, some girls like bad boys, because they are taking a risk w/ their heart. the thrill of fear keeps em moving...just like w/ anything, we sometime love to fear something, and this song is tribal, the beat is killer...good job timbaland...
