Oh God I'm running late again
I don't believe this

Another Wednesday morning on the train to work
And my weekend spread into the middle of the week
I'm boozing every night, 3 hours sleep
Check all the people then stare at my feet
Guy next to me pretend to read the Metro
Sort of bloke who calls everybody bro
But only met a black guy at Uni though
And the lady with the kid watches the guard meet the train

[Chorus]
Suspicous eyes
Looking for the end
Suspicous eyes
Looking for the end

A young Asian guy with a rucksack on his back
Jumps on the tube, is he ready to attack?
God just imagine it being all over, stuck in the tube with nowhere to go
All the smoke and confusion, stuck in this dark coffin
The man with the paper, he moves from his seat
Why did that kid stand so close to me?
I'm sick of them moaning that they're being picked on,
When its them running round with the bombs
I'll grab the kids, leave London's town

Join a white flight to Surrey and beyond

[Chorus]

These people are assuming who I am, but they're wrong
Got a beard and a bag so they think I got a bomb
I saw everyone's reaction soon as I stepped through the door
All acting like they've never seen a brown person before
The guy infront of me, he should be reading his paper
I'm checking my watch cos there's an interview that I'm gonna be late for
Every time I step on the tube, there's a dude in his suit who ain't got no manners,
Doesn't he know staring is rude?
And if you're so scared, move! I've just stopped caring
I'm off at the next stop mate just keep staring

[Chorus]

Clocks are ticking and we leave on time [Repeats]

This song is amazing, just a great concept, everyone with their suspicious eyes peering at Asians and their feelings about the whole situation. All staring at innocent people and how they make that person feel.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
