Autumn fallin' from trees
The snow is up to our knees
Oh, I let you borrow my keys
To sleep in my room

You threw away my shoe
I brought you to central park zoo
Then I drew your eyes very blue
And I stuck 'em on the fridge

I believe it was you
Who I wanted to be walking next to
And I believe we were friends
And I believe we will be again

You sighed and swept your broom
Under the wintry moon
When I called up this afternoon
Your words were goodbye, goodbye, goodbye

I believe it was you
Who I wanted to be talkin' to
And I believe we were friends
And I believe we will be again

If I knock on your door would you let me in?
Do you know any more than I do?

Wonder about you
Even if you do not want me to
The girl you once knew
Is the person we are

I believe it was you
Who I wanted to be walkin' next to
And I believe we were friends
And I believe we will be again

General CommentYou know when you hear a song for the first time but it sounds so familar. This song did just that, and then it reminded of Regina Spektor. The mix of keyboard with the cool accordion undertone = so good

General CommentOh Jaymay. When will you ever learn. You can't keep up a friendship with a guy you have feelings for. That's why the line "I believe we will be [friends] again" is delivered with a hint of sadness, I think. Another lovely sketch by J. I love the 'middle-eight' section and the quick little key change and turnaround, it reminds me of A hard day's night era Beatles.

General Commentyeah - tenementrock, she does draw this pic of fallin for a friend -- such a vicious cycle! but i love it b/c i can relate to it! lol and i love the part where she goes, "Do you know anymore than I do" - and then "Wonder about you" -- it's like, 'I do wonder about you' -- your fluid phrases are awesome!
