I’m sorry
I never meant to hurt you
Look in my eyes…

She’s so beautiful
She has a way with words
I had my way with her
Oh how unfortunate
I left her here in this empty nest
Awaiting the Seraphim
With prayers unanswered and unblessed

I’m sorry
I never meant to hurt you
Look in my eyes…

She’s so elegant and delicate
It makes me sick
Oh, don’t be deceived
I treat her like a glass menagerie
And this time I won’t scream
I’ll whisper softly and I’ll sing

I’m sorry
I never meant to hurt you
I never meant to hurt you
I never meant to hurt you

If I could wish it all away
If I could wish it all away
I would wish it all away
If I could wish it all away…

I’m sorry
I never meant to hurt you
Look in my eyes…

I’m wishing away
And I’m waiting for something
I’m sitting around
And I ain’t getting nothing

General Commenthaha! first comment.not sure wat it means but i like it. i kinda think it's about a guy that possibly abused his girlfriend or wife and she was some kind of pure angel and delicate and now he realizes that it was wrong to have ever struck an angel and he now wishes he had never done that and he's trying to say sorry and get her bak but she won't and so he's just waiting till she comes around. am i close?

General CommentI think that song it explained well by the person above me, but i dont think that he abused her. I think he tool advantaged of her. She was realized that she deserved more, and she wanted to leave him, but he is apologizing to get her to stay maybe. i think the song is based of some sort of scenario. Overall, the song is great, and i love it. I personally like the demo version better. but i LOVE the song!!
