Follow me
And I will take you in
Finally
You get to see what we think

I didn't show up today
I only disappeared
A missing detail of how I should feel
The memory has been erased
If you really want to escape
You don't belong here

Follow me
And I will take you in
Finally
You get to see what we think

Turn the lights out and be on your own
Outside your window their be watching you now
The memory has been erased
They were ordering you all to kill

Follow me
And I will take you in
Finally
You get to see what we think

I, I find it in the air
I saw it in the air
It sounds
It sounded like it's there
You fall around the air

Follow me
And I will take you in
Finally
You get to see what we think

I can't believe no-one has commented on this song yet- I feel honoured:-) Love this song, but have no idea what its about! I'm guessing its about someone trying to help someone out, and guiding him? Anyway, I went to see this band recently, and remember this song clearly as Will's vocals were spot on! Great song, great new album:-) x

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
