Yeah

I know how you're always putting down all your friends
I know how you think your righteousness will make amends
I know how that little short skirt always get you in
I know how you hold me down just hoping I'll say when
And I know you want to own my soul

Yeah, Yeah

I don't know why you
think that you can stand there on your own
I don't know why you
always find the time to bitch and moan
I don't know why you
think you're always right and never wrong
but i know why you're

gone, yeah
gone, yeah

I know how you always get your way with that tease
I know how you always want to do just as you please
I know how you came about those dirty, little names
I know what you're thinking when you're saying "you and me"
And I know you still want to own my soul

yeah, yeah

General CommentThis is a pretty typical fuel song. It's pretty much the same things they've done with Brett. It's a damn good song. I didn't know what to expect from fuel without Brett but I'm not disappointed at all with this new guy. All though he does sound like a mixture of Brett and Chris Daughtry. Fuel Lives!

General CommentGoddamn my post makes no fuckin' sence. In a nutshell it's a real good song. And after reading over the lyrics again, I'm starting to think that this song is about Brett. Carl must be super fuckin' pissed at Brett.

Whats goin with Brett any way? I know he's playing bass in a shitty bar band and he's on tour with the doors but I heard that he might make a solo album. That'd be kick ass cause I gotta hear Brett sing some more.

General CommentI had to do some research Metalhead and youll be surprized at what i found...play the Sunburn and Something Like Human records...now play Natural Selection...the last CD that Brett made...his voice is extremely winded and its bc he had an accident and had to relearn how to sing...if this has anything to do with him quitting the band...im not usre, i just thought it was very interesting...still my favorite band of all time tho...rock on Toryn!

General CommentI think this song tells the story of a guy and a girl - who aren't dating or anything but the guy has seen her around bitching and moaning about shit, thinking she is so perfect and always right about everything she says.
Perfect for Paris Hilton I suppose :)
But this song describes how I feel somehow. I'm at boarding school in England and there's this one girl who I thought was quite cute but turns out she was a right mirror image of Hilton. She was always complaining and was so fond of herself that it made me sick. She never co-operated and was putting all her friends down.

Fuel are still an amazing band - Brett had the voice of a god but the new guy is immense as well. Fuel FTW!!

General CommentI saw fuel live with Brett a few years back. Amazing show. Brett's stage presence is one of the best I've ever seen.

So here is the story i heard. There was some animosity between the old drummer and the band, so i believe he was fired. Well, he came back and said that Brett had been lip syncing since Natural Selection. So then Brett quits.

Also, i never saw this personally, but i heard rumors that there are some videos where Brett drops his mic, and you can still hear the vocal track. Just speculation.

Still the bands not the same without him. But the new stuff is good.

Sounds like they are singing to Brett in this song.

    Cheers!

General CommentI don't mean to put down Fuel by any means but this song is basically a rip off of Crossfade's "The Deep End". The Intro to both both songs are almost identical.
