I ran in here
In the attic, in the eye of a tornado
I watch the winter tame the orchard
Tree by tree, lay them gently down

Cities that shine like El Dorado
Now it's sleeping in the Shadow
And I can't wake it up again
Stars above you are shining roads
And no one knows quite where it goes
And I can't get to sleep again

I lay in here
In the attic, in the wind of a tornado
I watch the wind tear the walls in
And the animals, never feel so low again

Cities that shine like El Dorado
Now it's sleeping in the Shadow
And I can't wake it up again
Stars above you are shining roads
And no one knows quite where it goes
And I can't get to sleep again

Stars above you shine on cue
Now they're acting a bit confused
And I can't make them shine again

General CommentSounds pretty straightforward to me. A natural disaster (tornado) hits, and all the nearby cities lose power. All narrated from the view of a young person who hid in the attic of their house.
