The turns you had to take still keep you awake
Down come the walls where you once stood
From constant changes you have made
You'll keep inside til you have a say

We change as we get older
Were not to stay
The days we walked are over

Now we just drive away
From everything I know
You're counting days on the back of your hands
You turn the pages til you have no more plans

The only time you had to think of all the things involved
Came when you were least expecting
And now its up to us to replace it
To tell us when ages have made a difference
Cause changes tell just who we are

We change as we get older
Were not to stay
The days we walked are over

Now we just drive away
From everything I know
You're counting days on the back of your hands
You turn the pages til you have no more plans

Now were just miles away
From all that we could be
You're counting days on the back of your hands
We turn the pages

Remember the days you've counted won't be forgotten
I hope you won't leave yourself out
When we turn the pages

I think this song represents the changes you go through when you grow up...

every time i hear this song, i think of me and my friends... we know that eventually have to "drive away from everything we know" and go our seprate ways for a while. i dont know about them, but i am counting those days and trying to live them as the best days of my life... somewhere along those days, you make lots of changes but its like, i dont want to change anything just yet, because things are going so great like they are. i want to talk to them, but i put it off until there is so little time left, and it just kinda fires at you like "whoa... its actually like... over...?" and we finally talk.. and just kinda look over the past year, what we are leaving behind.

and now we are finally changing ourselves to the people that we want to be, but we still remember those days before it all happened, so that even though we've turned the pages, we wont forget the last few sentences of that life before.

its a bit comfusing... but thats what i think of every single time i hear this song... its my second favorite from the band, who is one of the best bands in the WORLD. i think remember when is my top fav.

i think it's about a person that went through a hard time and changed alot but always looks back and stopped changing after a huge change and wants to stay in that phase, and everyone around that person keep changing and growing, and try to help their friend keep moving, keep 'turning pages' so they can live their life to the fullest

this song has absolutely nothing to do with love and relationships its about growing apart from the things you know as you grow older things change you think of things differently from how you used to when you were less mature

This song more than any of them reminds me SOOOO much of Acceptance.

It's their best on the EP (aptly named after it too).

This song could have something to do with giving up on love. Despite the changes and sacrafices people make in relationships, the once sturdy walls are coming down. Relationships grow and change as do the people in them-- theyre getting further and further away from what they know, and what they could be. Theyre just going further and further away from where they need to be to have a structured relationship and unfortunately, realized it "when they were least expecting" Ultimately, they realized that its over and they need to "turn the pages" and move on with their lives. When he says "I hope you wont leave yourself out When we turn the pages" he hopes that his past love can move on as well, like he did.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
