"The Fad" as written by Peter Loeffler and Samuel Loeffler....
Soon the men
Taste their own normalcy
Ends that day
Consumed by all
Irrational thoughts depend
Then change their taste

Let's call it change
Let's call it change

What's the fad
Hail the aces
If you care
If you hate it

What's the fad
Hail the aces
If you care
If you hate it

I got the violence
I got the violence

True to form
He's blind as his taste for cheap
Panther piss
He loves to bend beyond the card
So count us in to that Gucci clan
About face

Let's call it choice
I'll call it a fad

What's the fad
Hail the aces
If you care
If you hate it

What's the fad
Hail the aces
If you care
If you hate it

I got the violence
I got the violence
I got the violence
I got the violence

So sell your voodoo
And recognize this
Your last and only score
But you hung up on your strikes

What's the fad
Hail the aces
If you care
If you hate it

What's the fad
Hail the aces
If you care
If you hate it

What's the fad (I bought it)
What's the fad (I bought it)
What's the fad (I bought it)
What's the fad
I bought it

I got the violence
I got the violence

General Comment"The Fad" addresses the rampant consumerism and artifice he saw in Vegas (from the band website)

its how the fad is to go gamble to go have fun and senslessly wast time and money... hail the aces, hail the cards that bring you money... but with money comes violence

General Commentumm yeah, these lyrics are wrong...I tried to submit the real ones but I guess they havnt been approved...here they are, straight from the CD insert:

Soon the men taste their own,
Normalcy ends that day consumed by all,
Irrational thoughts depend then shape their tastes.

    Let’s call it change x2
Once the fad permeates, it’s hip to care, hip to hate it x2
    Laugh at the violence x2

    True to form,
He’s blind as his taste for cheap panther piss,
He loves to live beyond the card,
So count us in to that Gucci clan…the fat face.

Let’s call it the chase, I’ll call it a phase
Once the fad permeates, it’s hip to care, hip to hate it x2
    Laugh at the violence x4

    So sell your voodoo,
    And recognize this,
    Your last and only score,
Got you hung up on your strut.

Once the fad permeates, it’s hip to care, hip to hate it x2
Once the fad (The same) You want it (I bought it) x4
    Laugh at the violence x2

General CommentIt's already been clearly adressed on the official website what this song's about~ But even so, this song is amazing! The new album, although admitidly "more the same", rocks! Heavy dropped guitar riffs galore and Petes amazing voice pound through each track, and it all peaks in this very song IMO. The Fad is deffinatly the high point of the CD~ the climax if you will. Soon as I reached this song and that chorus hit me I had chills~ I was afriad to go any further and had to replay this song at least 15 times. Amazing.

General Commentrippin' cool song (like the time signature change from 4/4 to 6/8 during the interlude?) so many of the songs on this album have almost familiar sounding melody lines.

General Commentdoes the chorus for this song sound a lot like the chorus of "march of war" by nonpoint or is it just me?
