"Epoch Coda" as written by and Jonas Ladekjaer....
This time we heal the wounded
we fail again
I'm falling down with regret
look away from everything
and tell me what you see
there's no coming back from here

Everything I'll ever be I am
everything I ever was
look away from everything I am
it's all around me

And I'm not looking back
where everything was so familiar
but so far away, so far away

Oh my there is no ending
I can't escape from this anymore
oh God there's no way out of here
the walls are closing in
everything I've ever loved is gone
take this for what it's worth
I've found there is no meaning
this is the end of me
and I'm not holding back
the worst is over
the worst is over
there's no tomorrow
this is your way out

My God you lost a world you tried to make us love
we haven't seen the world
since you took our bodies and led them to the skies
as it carries us away
I can feel his hands as they pull me in
by your grace God let me fly
set me free
let me fly
God let me fly

General CommentHmm. Not quite sure but I think the song is talking about a person (the lead singer presumably) who has lost faith in whatever religion they followed. Possibly because they see how much of a hellhole the earth has become and they don't believe God is going to save them. Thus the line "My God you lost a world you tried to make us love". And the end of the song is fairly simple to decipher. "I can feel his hands as they pull me in" probably refers to how the church persuades people into following their religion using God as a tool. At that point the singer makes a plea to God to "let him fly", which is self explanatory.

General CommentThe ending of this song gives me chills, so beautiful.
"I can feel his hands as they pull me in"
Gives me the image of someone literally being pulled into heaven after struggling through life, constantly giving and never getting anything in return, and watching the world decay from war and greed, all by the hand of mankind.

General Commentits not about dying, its about realizing who you really are.

<- hes saying, like, life is filled with lies and false truths, our idea of living and being a person is so clouded, and he figured it out,but he hates it, once you find truths out about life, you can never go back to your ignorance of the world, once you realize how messed up life is you can never forget it, "everything is so familiar but so far away" he remembers how simple life was, but its in the past, he cant go back. he begs god for flight, he knows how the world is and just hopes hes good enough to get to heaven, it seems like no ones worthy anymore. no disrespect, i love this band, BUT HERES A TRUTH, all of you people who listen to religious hxc bands just becouse it talks about "god" is stupid, these songs arent about god at all, they might reference god, or jesus, but the lyrics mean more, the stem from life experiences, not from fucking a fucking church surman they listened to and wanted to make a song, hell most screamo religious bands dont go to church, CHURCH is made by man, NOT GOD, WHO ARE WE to say theres only one house of prayer, WHO ARE THE priests and preachers to say there only worthy to speak to god, and order forgiveniss>????? fuck im roman catholic and disagree with the system, god is everywhere, our realizations and ideas on after life are the only thing that god wants us to know, WE DONT HAVETO KISS SOME PREISTS ASS JUST BECAUSE HES NOT MARRIED AND SITS IN A HOT ROOM FOR 8 HOURS EVERY SUNDAY. these songs arent "religious" there about god in some, yes, but they are truthfully about our connection wiht god, how hes everywhere, it just takes us moments of thot to realize it.

General CommentxMinuteOfDecay : this song is not about him losing his faith, in fact the lead singer of emarosa at this time is now the lead singer of his new CHRISTIAN band agraceful.

    So good.

Back when I was in high school, like freshman/sophomore year I listened to this band and I always loved this song so much. It's so heart-felt at the very end and I just think it sounds beautiful.
