She said "Take it, it is yours." with the smallest of breaths
and her clothes they hit the floor, but she still looked dressed to kill
Tell me what i've done, and do i really need this,
tell me God what have i done.
Well I took back all my breath, and the words they hit my lungs
and inside screamed 'you're a mess.' Then it all went wrong for me.
You know I should've known that you always got your way.
You know I should've known.

So I lied upon her bed, but I lie too much.
I just sat, hoped for the best as I felt her touch
I could've closed my eyes and wished, that it wasn't you there.
I should've closed my eyes and wished.
Well as soon as it had started, it felt so wrong.
I would take it all back, if you knew all along
that you were wrong and I was right.
You were wrong, and I was right

Woah, woah. Stop right there.
You and me, well we're just unaware.
I don't think we're ready for this, no no.
Woah woah. Take your time.
We've got a while if not the rest of our lives.
I don't think we're ready for this, no no.

General Commentfirstly, i LOVE this band. i think they are immense.

to me this song is either about a relationship that had ended but then the boy got drunk and they had sex again and he really regrets it and knew it should'nt have happened and he shoudlnt have let himself.

either that or it was liek the begining of the relationship and they wanted it to be special but they got drunk and threw it away. the tonly reason i think that is because of the verse
    Woah, woah. Stop right there.
You and me, well we're just unaware.
I don't think we're ready for this, no no.
    Woah woah. Take your time.
We've got a while if not the rest of our lives.
I dont think we're ready for this, no no.

apart from that i pretty much think its my first theory.
