"It's Not For Me To Say" as written by and Al Stillman Robert Allen....
It's not for me to say you love me
It's not for me to say you'll always care
Oh, but here for the moment I can hold you fast
And press your lips to mine
And dream that love will last

As far as I can see this is heaven
And speaking just for me, it's ours to share
Perhaps the glow of love will grow with every passing day
Or we may never meet again
But then, it's not for me to say

And speaking just for me, it's ours to share
Perhaps the glow of love will grow with every passing day
Or we may never meet again
But then, it's not for me to say

My InterpretationHow many things in our lives are out of our hands? Where you live? Where you work? What university and program you end up finishing if you finish? Who you end up with? Sometimes romance is trivial compared to all those things. I love singing the title when people ask me a question whose answer I have no way of influencing. Many times things can go either way as mentioned in the verses. Also in the second verse the key phrase " speaking just for me". The acknowledgement of meeting the other side halfway. That is why when love is right , love is so sweet because the other side believes it should be shared. They look at the situation the same way as you do. Before that though, it is out of your control. It is not for you to say.
