"Rolls So Deep" as written by Ben Hales and Matthew Hales....
I'm gonna teach myself to drive
Down the road on the other side
I'm gonna set myself alive
To put some fire in my soul

Could've told you a million lies
Given everything to compromise
But you could run for a million miles
And still have nowhere to go

It's like lightning in a clear blue sky
There's a storm but you keep it inside
It's like thunder when I look in your eyes
And it rolls, it rolls, it rolls so deep

You're gonna have to wait awhile
Tune it in on another dial
'Cause every time that you make me smile
Blood bursts out of a stone

And if I have to be myself again
Drown our tears in the pouring rain
It's the end of the holiday
And you don't wanna go home

It's like lightning in a clear blue sky
There's a storm but you keep it inside
It's like thunder when I look in your eyes
And it rolls, it rolls, it rolls so deep, yeah
It rolls, it rolls so deep

I wanna feel it everyday
I wanna feel it everyday, everyday, oh, ooh

It's like thunder when I look in your eyes and it rolls
It's like lightning in a clear blue sky
There's a storm but you keep it inside
It's like thunder when I look in your eyes
It's like thunder when I look in your eyes
And it rolls so deep, yeah, it rolls, it rolls so deep, yeah
It rolls, it rolls so deep

It's like lighting in a clear blue sky
There's a storm but you keep it inside
It's like thunder when I look in your eyes
It's like thunder when I look in your eyes
It's like thunder when I look in your eyes

i like that line, but i have no idea what it means.. it must be something british?

anyway, cool song. kind of reminds me of a rock 'n roll song when looking at the lyrics

General CommentThere's a saying 'like getting blood out of a stone' which basically means putting a lot of effort into trying to do something that's impossible. I like the way it's used in these lyrics - not only has the impossible been achieved (him smiling), but in a massive way as the 'blood' is 'bursting' out of the stone. A fantastically uplifting song, and when I saw them live a couple of months ago, Matt Hales was saying this song was his attempt at sounding like a Bruce Springsteen song!

General CommentI love this song - it's so upbeat and happy, way different to his earlier work
