"This Will Be Our Year (The Zombies Cover)" as written by and C. White....
The warmth of your love's
Like the warmth from the sun
And this will be our year
Took a long time to come

Don't let go of my hand
Now the darkness has gone
This will be our year
Took a long time to come

And I won't forget
The way you helped me
up when I was down
And I won't forget
The way you said "darling, I love you"

You gave me faith to go on
Now we're there
And we've only just begun
This will be our year
Took a long time to come

The warmth of your smile
Smile for me, little one
And this will be our year
Took a long time to come

You don't have to worry
All your worried days are gone
And this will be our year
Took a long time to come

And I won't forget
The way you helped me
up when I was down
And I won't forget
The way you said "darling, I love you"

You gave me faith to go on
Now we're there
And we've only just begun
This will be our year
Took a long time to come

And this will be our year
Took a long time to come

General CommentCouldn't say it any better than boringbriana did...as far as what this song means to me...currently it is an everything anthem, and a reminder to smile, be very THANKFUL for a new romance, and a man who maps to the lyrics, EXACTLY. it reminds me, life is a lot of things, and often difficult, but without love, it is meaningless. and, yeah, it was all a long time coming. but without that part, you never would appreciate the positive when it shows up. Thanks Paul and band for covering this song. It holds up well over time, and now an entire new generation will know it (caveat: i never heard the original by the zombies! haha) :o)
