Our sad eyes they don't keep me alive
Not like they used to
Not like they used to
And your cold feet they wont find their way to me
It's not like you want them to
It's not like you want them to
And your big heart, it won't tear me apart
Not like it used to
Not like it used to

Its all about
It's all about
It's all about
It''s all about
What you wanted
Am I what you wanted?

Your cold hands, are they gonna catch me if you can?
Its not like you want them to
Its not like you want them to
And your long legs, they could carry you to me
Its not like you want them to
Its not like you want th
Its all about
Its all about
Its all about
Its all about
What you wanted
Am I what you wanted?

It's all about you
It's all about you
It's always about you
It's always about you
Its all about
It's all about
What you wanted

Am I what you wanted?
Am I what you wanted?
Am I what you wanted?
Am I what you wanted?
Am I what you wanted?
Am I what you wanted?
Am I what you wanted?
Am I what you wanted?

Oh, my love

This is most definitely my favourite A&JS song, it's so charming and heartfelt.

I think it's about a very on and off relationship and this song is the female persona finally realising that her love will never full commit or make up his mind, and that it wasn't her fault.

this song sounds amazing on the cd, but when i saw julia sing it live it was so heart felt that i almost wanted to cry, she put so much emotion in to her voice and lyrics. it's a simple song but so beautiful.

ooh I love this song it makes me a bit sad too really, seems like shes pretty cut because of this selfish guy, he takes her for granted. I missed them when they were at splendour last year :( I was waiting for yeah yeah yeahs at the time I think... Julia puts lots of emotion into this song

I read this as discussing either unrequited love,or a relationship that has faded and is slowly dying. While Julia's persona is still clearly besotted with the male, while he is cold and doesn't put any effort into the relationship. But I agree,Julia's voice live can break hearts.

This song seems suddenly quite poignant, it must have been like what my now ex-girlfriend felt about mine and her relationship. She wanted me so much, but I couldn't commit (mainly as she and her world were miles apart) we'd be off and on and she must have wondered if I wanted her, until finally the things I'd do to make her want me no longer worked: she no longer felt the same for me. She believed the whole relationship was about me, what I wanted (although actually it was about what she wanted and when she changed her mind, she left, turned cold and returned to her life as it was before she met me). The last bits have no bearing on the song, but I was amazed just to play a random song and it seemed to fit my life currently. Amazing song. Love it. Tragic thing for me, "its all about what you wanted am i what you wanted?" in the end I did want her, but it was "too little, too late". C'est la vie.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
