Let the damn cows moo
Let those stupid birds fly
Let the dog sit on the chair, let the cat shed its long hair
Let the goldfish swim outside
Let the smokers smoke
Let the politicians lie
Let grandma be a bitch, athletes be filthy rich
Let the stoners get high

Let's make life a living hell
Let's make life a living hell
Let's take everything we know, toss it right out the window
Let's make life a living hell

Let the homophobes be scared
Let the gays adopt with care
Republicans steal the dough, democrats complain more
Let the system let us down
Let Charlton Heston have his gun
Let somebody shoot him just for fun
Pro-life be carnivores, pro-choice be whores
Let’s never help the bums

Let's make life a living hell
Let's make life a living hell
Let's take everything we know, toss it right out the window
Let's make life a living hell

Let the acid rain fall
Let's not recycle at all
We know what we should do, but I don't care and you don't too
Let’s make earth decay and die
Let religion kill some more
Let nonbelievers get tortured
Let the tyrants kill, let the soldiers double kill
Let's all kill kill kill kill kill
Humanity
Fueled by fear and greed
Cultivate and kill
Is our great legacy?
So much death we can't undo
But here’s a little fucking clue
If we can build the bomb can't we build heaven too?

Nah! Let's make life a living hell
Let's make life a living hell
Let's take everything we know, toss it right out the window
Let's make life a living hell

So let the damn cows moo
Let the children get abused
Let the goldfish swim outside, steal from the old then watch them die
Let's make life a living hell
Rah!

General Commentwrong. this is saying if there's something worth complaining about, there's something worth doing to change it.

General CommentWhen they did this song at Scranton on Warped Tour, it was so hilarious... someone threw their boxers on stage, and it screwed Dave up so much... he ended up singing "Let the goldfish swim outside" three straight times, then started laughing and wiped his face off with the boxers.. it was hilarious

On the song, it sounds so sarcastic when he sings it.. or as vickyzee said, irony... I still don't know for sure what's irony and what's sarcasm.. but still, nonetheless, the meaning's pretty obvious from the lyrics and this song fucking rocks

General Commentto me, i kinda think that this song is being completely sarcastic.
it's saying that we have all these problems and nobody wants to deal with them.
it's like people just don't care. like they're saying "let's make life a living hell"

General Commentif the song should be about things that people care about but dont do anything about them, what about these:

    "Let the smokers smoke"
    "Let the stoners get high"
common, its a ska band, they have to smoke weed, or at least ciggs, i think in a few songs they talk about smoking ciggs.

"Let the gays adopt with care"
i dont recal them being anti-gay

there are a few more, but im lazy and dont care enough, but this song is really annoying, i dont really get it at all.

General CommentWell it's not just about things that they have a problem with, it's everything that's up for debate right now. They're not taking a side on anything, just stating that if you have feeling about something you need to take action.

General Commentits describing many differant political points of view, from being pro-gay, to anti-gay, from this to that, and the solution at the end being lets m,ake life a living hell, saying who cares. big d dnt get too political in their songs, but they sure as fuck believe that you got to fight for ur beliefs and who u r and change shit and diy.
