You broke down on a Tuesday night
Stuck inside the same old fight
Feelin' like you've been through this before
And stormin' out of your front door
And this is not your day
Shouldn't have to be this way
Pull your jacket on against your head and face the rain
You walk down to the corner store
You don't know what you go there for
The one hand wants to drink away the pain
The other wants to feel it all again
But you're a mess inside
Things are gone that you can't hide
So let your troubles slide
And I will try to break your fall

Yeah, well alright
You saved me from another night
Without somebody next to mine
Yeah, well alright
Wake up with the sun and I'll be gone

There's nothing left for you to feel
Circumstance that brought you here
Words don't even have to be exchanged
And nothing needs to be explained
You can blame it all
On every hand that lets you fall
Or one to many nights that you've spent wasted by the phone
So disconnect your head from this
And fall into the strangers kiss
We can take a holiday from all this suffocating self-control
And you can be my bride
If only for a Tuesday night
Someday I might just be that vacation you've been waiting for

Yeah, well alright
You saved me from another night
Without somebody next to mine
Yeah, well alright
Wake up with the sun and I'll be gone

Yeah, well alright
You saved me from another night
Without somebody next to mine
Yeah, well alright
Wake up with the sun and I'll be gone

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
